From the Bolter FAQ's - worth a read so that you understand the emergency rules and risks associated with playing a VC/C loophole.

When do league finals begin?

The finals fixture duration is 3 weeks for 8 member leagues starting in Round 8 and 4 weeks for 12 and 16 member leagues starting in Round 7. The Grand Final for all leagues will occur in Round 10.

Do all leagues have to play finals?

Yes, all leagues will play finals under the same format, depending on the number of members in the league.

For 8 team leagues, the top 4 teams as at Round 7 will make finals. For 12 team leagues, the top 6 teams as at Round 6 will make finals and top 8 for 16 team leagues.

-----

IMO a 12 team league in this format will be a little better than an 8 team league even though the league won't be a full round robin.

I am not sure how a top 6 over 4 weeks works unless 1 and 2 get a week off then play in a Qualifying Final in week 2 with the 2 first week winners from 3 vs 6 and 4 v 5 playing in an Elimination Final.

-----

Also worth noting is that Bolter is ignoring the Tuesday/Wednesday games and I will be interested in whether official AFLW fantasy follows suit.

How will it work?
Players who play twice in one week will have both of their scores count towards a team's total for that week.

Those players will lock out after the first game and they can't be edited in between their two games.

Once a player's second game begins, their score will be added onto the score from their first game.

For those players, their prices will be adjusted based on separate game scores.

Who plays twice during these weeks?
Week four: Collingwood, West Coast, Brisbane, Western Bulldogs
Week five: Richmond, Port Adelaide, Carlton, North Melbourne
Week six: Geelong, Fremantle, Hawthorn, Gold Coast, Essendon, Sydney
Week seven: St Kilda, Greater Western Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne

For the time being can those who started the AFLW official fantasy leagues in 2023 please hold off re-newing those leagues as I have to dig out where we ended up in terms of promotion, and we will also manage entry for those leagues via a separate thread this season.
2024 SCS AFLW Promotion and Relegation Leagues (open!) | SuperCoach Scores

Edit - Premier League will be a 10 team league as follows - invites can be sent asap if the coach who ran it last year is still in this year's comp
- same Fonzies, Potato Cannons, Sam Stars, Foxy's Felions, Tamuhawk
- promoted Dees B2B, MadMunza, TailsPower, Nibby, Creekers

- relegated to Championship - Pesci The Crow, VicWood, Demons Dynasty

The Championship will be another 10 team league based on the 16 teams in the 2 Non Premier Leagues in 2023 - I will manage invites for this league
- promoted to Premier - Dees B2B, MadMunza, TailsPower, Nibby, Creekers

- relegated to Championship - Pesci The Crow, VicWood, Demons Dynasty
- Same (NP1) - Supersquad, BtownAngels, Liverpool, Lappinitup
- Same (NP2) - Conoisseur, Under The Dome, Unsociable Gopher

Division 1 will feature the 4 relegated teams from Non premier 1 and 2 from 2023 as well as any new teams, if enough new teams join Division 1 will split into 2 conferences - any new coach or one listed below can create this league
- relegated to Div 1 from 2023 NPL1 - Toolands Tools, Couch Coach
- relegated to Div1 from 2023 NPL2 - Have a Crack, Caps and Knickers

I. Can anyone join and which comps .
2. As someone who has never followed the Women's league , any charts to help pick teams
Point 2: Media and other hints will come out closer to the start date but if you just want to start a draft version of your team use the drop down in display to select "% selected" and you can see what the crowd are selecting.

Might be very very tedious, but going through last year's thread might give you a bit of info.

"Free Kick: The AFLW podcast" offers great info. They do a preview of each team before the season starts. (As of yesterday they've become "The Official AFLW Fantasy Podcast")

Gonna be honest, apart from some guns... I have little knowledge of most players until I've done some research of my own. Have literally started today so won't be able to critique until I finish a few podcasts.

In the meantime, check out:
Free Kick: The AFLW Fantasy Podcast
Or shortcut, go on their twitter as they've listed predicted best 21s from a few teams and have had polls about relevant fantasy players.
