Does anyone know what happened to Breece Hall this week?
According to report he's OK, it's just that the OLine is poor and defences aren't giving him any room to move.
The statisticians have a stat. they lable xYPC: expected yards per carry.
Over his 4 games his xYPC = 3.2. The lowest of any serious RB since they started that stat. in 2018.
His running mate Allen has 4.5 xYPC.
i.e. opponents are paying more attention to stopping Hall than they are to stopping Allen.

Hall has always had games with low yards per carry mixed in with his good games.
In 2023 he went: 12.7, 2.25, 1.5, 9.33, 8.05, 3.25, 1.42, 3.13, 2.15, 2.3, 3.57, 1.23, 4.0, 2.0, 4.75, 6.46, 4.81.
None were are bad as today, of course, but I think that attention is being drawn to it because it's the first 4 games of the season rather than mid-season - note the 9 game stretch last year where his best was 4.0 but bracketed by games of 9.33/8.05 and 4.75/6.46.

Both Rogers and the NYJ coaches spoke out in support of Hall after the game.
I expect his figures to improve as the season goes on. Opponents will start to pay more attention to Allen and that might free Hall up a bit.

Having said that, I am considering trading him out this week but only if there are no other trades needed: e.g. for my 3/4 injured players

From a limited sample, I observed that many teams had Allen as their captain. However, it appears that coaches who did not choose Allen as captain won their games.

Considering Allen as my captain choice has become an unreliable option for me now.

Besides the pain of the low score he also will dump some Big Cash... -2.5m as a rough guess

Yeah, that's tough after you brought him in to replace Mahomes.
It's a prime example of why I like to have a non -playing kicker - except when both your "vc" and "c" fail.

404 - J Allen capt :(

Down 146 spots to 373 now.

Anyone else considering trading Bijan Robinson now that he has a hamstring issue to go with the shoulder issue he managed this week?

Robinson (hamstring) is listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Robinson played a season-low 61 percent of offensive snaps during Atlanta's 26-24 win over New Orleans in Week 4, handling just seven carries for 28 yards compared to Tyler Allgeier's eight rushes for 60 yards. It appears that a hamstring issue may have been responsible for Robinson's uncharacteristically low workload

Thank you for all the information posted here. Hope everyone is going well
Did not realise that Bijan has a hammy + shoulder injury. Have not played him for 2 weeks so may sell. Have Wilson who I am not playing but ended up my AE for Rice as well. So not good. Also have Richardson + Rice to sell. Lots to do + not enough trades 😂

A friendly warning:
There can be a lot of injuries in the NFL - both short term and long-term
I'd recommend not trading out players with relatively short term injuries except to avoid a donut. And by relatively short-term I mean almost anything under half a season.
(Although other factors do come into play: the injured player's type of injury and BE; the prospect of a bargain pick up.)
Between byes and injuries you're likely to face plenty of donuts and you'll need the trades.
And thinking long-term, it helps to have at least 3 trades for wk.s 17-18 whem players are rested.

I know what you saying Rupert but it is also position depending as long as you got cover and in the early Rd's it also comes down to raise cash as much as possible... anybody out for 2 rd's currently is a sell for me... besides for insteads Kupp.... been able to cover him for now... but with Rice out and another Guy on the bye... I will sell Rice.... having any player on injury over 4 weeks is a sell in my opinion especial in the positions that have only 2 or 3 spots
