My name's Ironhawk, and I'm a trade-aholic.

Yes, I've used the maximum amount of trades possible each round so far, and will continue to do so for the remainder of the season (that amount will be zero per round).

I am actually starting this thread a little bit early, as I do still have one trade left, but I'll be using it this round once teams are named. More than happy for anyone else who uses the last of their trades this round to join me as co-president of the club, as I'm sure I can't be the only one who has used all 40 trades. It's not a bad strategy - I think you will find at the end of the season that the winner this year will have used most or all of their allocated trades by this point. If you want to win SC, you know what to do!

What are you waiting for, spend those trades and get on in here! Most, if not all of you will end up with no trades left anyway, and I could really do with the company rather than being the only one here. Plenty of space for everyone, let's get the party started!

Can you get to $0 left?

I didn't try. $16,300 after my final trade of Z Reid to Humphries if anyone wants to suggest a better option.

Final team:

Why are you actually trading? Humphries only provides a link to Yeo, which Daicos already provides in your midfield line. I'd certainly be keeping that last trade for an emergency in case a premium gets injured & is done for the year

I figure I'm not winning much anyway, I almost surely would be better off holding if I was serious about SC, but I play for fun anyway, and one trade/sub 10K is not going to suddenly turn my team into a powerhouse. May get me an extra few points, yes, but I've been in a similar position before where I held onto my last trade for an injury that never came - and got eliminated from all leagues while holding onto that trade as I had a round where multiple players had a shocker. Figure I may as well just use it at this point, possibly get some extra bench cover into the team (which will probably disappear anyway), hope for the best and just try again next year.

Potentially could be some new recruits here this round, quite a few premiums looking like being out injured / suspended.
This week is shaping up to be one where there could be a lot of movement in the rankings depending on what players do end up missing/ how much quality coverage teams currently have & how many trades they have left - going to test the depth of most teams & it will be interesting how coaches deal with it. Those that have cover for players missing 1 week (maybe Heeney/Gawn) & can keep upgrading this week should be in a strong position for the run home whilst those that need to sideways trade to avoid zeros this week will be falling behind.

Agree with there could be a lot of ranking movements this week,
but us with little trades left, or none, this is not the right Thread to be mentioning upgrading, just kidding. ;)

With few trades remaining and minimal cash in the bank, I now find myself with a lot of time on my hands, not researching players to trade in. This leaves me with lots of time for meaningless comments in this Forum.

I mentioned that in the topic. One of those 4 is my vote, but not sure who the other 3 are.

Welcome to the club, whoever it is.
One is me. I've gone hard with trades this year to try and keep my ranking as high as possible. Made some good trades and some not so good. Hopefully learn from it for next year.
1 trade left before this weekend, but I have all of Rankine, Touk, Gawn and Heeney. Will likely use my last trade on Touk and bring in either Warner or Rivers.
Ranked 577th at the moment, but expecting to probably drop outside top 1000 now out of trades. Sitting top 2 in my important leagues, so if I can field a full team come finals I'll be stoked.

Oh hey guys :)
I can honestly say at the start of this season I promised myself I'd keep some trades spare for the carnage. Well I broke that promise. No thanks to those players who decided to either injure themselves or get suspended.

I will never learn my lesson however and look forward to joining you here again in 2025 haha

If you're top 2 in important leagues I would hold the trade.

Considering it. Don't think there's much point holding Touk now though.
But if you're in a good spot to play finals you don't have to make that decision now. Wait and see how the finals pan out. Let's say you have 3 options to replace Touk, and the one you pick gets injured this week. You didn't have to make that trade this week.

This is true. Would mean I don't get to join the No Trades Left Club yet though. I feel like @Ironhawk would really appreciate the company 😉

I keep peering into this thread. Have one trade left before this round with good cover across all lines. Now that Heeney and Max have gone and stuffed everything up, I feel like I should join the party, but I feel I will regret it.

Sitting about 1500 overall, and feel if I trade Max, I'll start to slip backwards as I'll get another injury. I have Jackson and Kreuger, so can manage the cover, but as I said I kept getting drawn to enter...

Can someone please explain why trading is so addictive?
