For those that still have trades, what are you thinking?

Those with English I assume will be looking at Xerri if they have the cash, maybe Marshall as a cheaper option (129 avg last 3 v cats this week)

Doubts on Sheezel with his ankle issue, in a moon boot currently.

Grundy with just 1 score over 100 in his last 7, looked tired the last few weeks to me.

Personally have 2 trades left & 39K in the bank.

Contemplating a few different trades if Sheezel is out & if I move Grundy on :-

Sheezel > Sinclair

Sheezel > Clark (118 3 round avg), Grundy > Marshall

Sheezel > Amon (101 3 round avg - Richmond & North last 2), Grundy > Xerri (no English)

Here is my current team:-

Ranked 92 overall currently - would love to finish in the top 100

Open to all suggestions/ opinions (y)
I'm sure you have thought of these options.
With the money you have in the bank:

If you go Grundy to Xerri
Sheezel to consider Amon or Roberts

If you go Grundy to Marshall
Sheezel to consider
Newman, J Clark, Mckercher, Battle, NWM, Houston

I like Xerri/Roberts and Marshall/ Newman

J Clark, rumors he could be out

Final 2 trades list most and need to nail to get into the grand finals

Tossing up between the two options and would love some help
Sheezel and Curnow OUT

Option 1: Newman and Rankine IN

Option 2: J Clark and D Moore IN

See pros and cons with both but struggling to split….wish I could get Sinclair but leaves me with insufficient cash to get a decent forward for Curnow …

There are murmurings that J. Clark is out, so keep an eye out for that. Personally, I like your first option and would lean that way myself.

I've got three trades and one boost left. Going with:
Sheezel to McGovern
Curnow to Rankine
English to ruck under $583k. I'm seriously considering Reilly O'Brien which is a bit of a worry

That was in reference to you having 3 trades left and a boost btw, and p.s btw, if I was Taylor there on the beach, free from the hairy Ape oppression, and with a healthy horse and a super 60's smokeshow, Nova in the back seat, I'd be more than happy to ride off into the sunset with her and not be all "damn you all to hell" about anything.

Personally I’d go Cameron over Rankine so you can get English to Xerri

My English & Sheezel cover?
I’m down to my last trade and unclear on the likely duration of both their injuries/outs but thinking Sheezel more likely to be rested again and WBD will want to get English back. I don’t want to second guess and trade Sheezel so thinking to hold and see what eventuates next week.
I can cover Sheezel with Evans; Jackson (F6) can cover English via Livingstone and I can cover him by bringing Heeney (M8) to the forwards via Dowling (F7) then field Humphries as M8.
Gives me cover albeit not ideal but think that’s the best option or should I bite the bullet, go all out and trade Sheezel to say N Martin and worry about next week GF if I get there.

Can anyone figure this out for me? Trying to utilise my mid cover but don't think I can. Lacking some mid-eligible fwd/def rookies I think. If only Sheezel was def-mid as well...

Any clever trade in then outs to take advantage of the dpp I do have?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated:

Tholstrup already on field is holding you to a donut without using your last trade.

Locking in a rookie score this week to hopefully avoid a rookie score (or donut) next week doesn’t sound ideal to me from an overall points perspective, but it sounds like you’re league focused at this stage.

Given that, I would look at whether you feel you may need the extra points this week, and what your options are to track that question throughout your matchup and pull a trade only if it looks like it’s needed. Eg which rookies or injured premos play late, and which premos also play late that you can trade them to (including budget and positional considerations) if your league matchup warrants it.
