@Tamuhawk and I have proposed the following promotion/relegation structure for the 24 teams playing in the official AFLW fantasy 2023 SCS Premier/Non Premier leagues

In 2024 the Premier League will increase from 8 to 10 teams with the teams ranked 7th and 8th in the 2023 SCS Premier League relegated and replaced by the 4 Grand Finalists in the 2023 SCS Non Premier Leagues as promoted teams

In week 10 of the 2023 AFLW season the 6th placed team in 2023 SCS Premier League will play the best 3rd ranked team from the 2 SCS Non premier Leagues (compared by W/L then overall 2023 AFLW fantasy ranking as at week 9 as a tiebraker).

The winner of this week 10 match will qualify as the 10th and final team in the 2024 SCS Premier League.

At this stage it is intended that in 2024 the SCS official AFLW Fantasy structure will be Premier - Championship (one) - Conference (one or more) - with relegated 2023 Premier League teams and top 6 ranked teams in each 2023 league Non Premier forming the 10 team second tier, although that can be re-assessed in July next year.

We hope that this will add some interest for those teams jostling for mid table league positions this season, best of luck everyone !

More nailbiters in NPL1 this week.

Early days but after 3 rounds TailsPower (1st) and Liverpool (2nd) sit in the auto-promotion spots to 2024 Premier League before their all important Round 4 clash while T0land's T00ls (7th) and B'Town Angels (8th) sit in the potential auto-relegation spots to the 2024 Conference League.

SuperSquad sits 3rd and would be considered against the 3rd placed NPL2 side ranked by W/L then overall AFLW position as at round 9, with the higher ranked team qualifying for the 2024 Premier League Playoff match.

Let us know how the other leagues are going !

Thinking it's time for Bowers and Toogood.
Only doing this now as I have the cash, and don't have to sell the farm to set it up.
Not too concerned about Bowers high B/E as she will be a season keeper.

Anthony to Pope. (Utility)
Whitfort to Bowers.
Phillips to Toogood.

Allen still a concern in my backline but it's a lucky dip down there. Will work on the backline next week.

Just trying to get a handle on who the likely taggers are. I have noted Svarc and Single with Lister doing a job once as well, are there any others that I'm missing? Reckon it's going to be important to know given that teams will get pretty similar from here on in.

In the same vein, it's also going to be important to know a 'scale of hardness' I'm hopeless with spreadsheets, so if anyone has one that they'd like to share then I would be forever grateful. I have a rough idea of the easiest teams to score against but a fixture based analysis would be very handy.

This week I think it's a monty that Svarc goes to Garner (at least I hope so because I haven't got her yet) and maybe Single goes to Blackburn

Going for the Utility loop this week.

I could afford up to Toogood but Goldsworthy is value on her last two.
It should be hard for their debuts so I've gone for the two cheap Melbourne rookies.

I'll look to get Plane up to Molloy next week.

Updated SCS MM rankings, their leagues page is broken but I got beaten by Dees B2B.

4 SCS sides in with a strong chance of getting a hat, plenty of time left for the others to rise up as well.

I will likely be running a 32 team MM knockout comp for rounds 5-9 via twitter, based on Round 4 ranking - hoping cut-off is around 100-200 ish. Keep an eye out if interested.

I had a go at forecasting BE's using last weeks MN from Jaiden Popowski, thought I'd be out a bit due to the MN getting lower and guessed that I'd be around 5pts off. Surprised that I got reasonably close, below are my predictions with Jaiden's next to them.

T Smith 10---20
Stratton 31---35
Nanscawen 48---42
Gardiner 72---71
Molloy 92---87
Garner 122---115
Davey 129---110
Bowers 167---146

BRISBANE forward Dakota Davidson will miss her side's high-stakes clash against ladder leader North Melbourne after failing to overturn her one-match ban at the AFLW Tribunal.

There was also bad news for Carlton's Gen Lawson-Tavan, whose two-match suspension for rough conduct was upheld on Tuesday night.
