Stars play Game 1

Can loop Hurricanes or Stars.
That’s right. I mean that we can’t decide on our Stars ins after we see our loop results - we need to decide on any Stars in before the round starts.

Yeah, there's always the option to take one or more if we like them. I'm just not sure there are any I'd go for! Maybe Luke Wood but he's prone to his good and bad, for sure...

Good comments everyone, and I'm liking that it is helping clarify thinking for your own teams. Sounds like we have a lot of next rounds planning already sorted in terms of a preferred starting structure, but I'll touch back on it tomorrow as to trade targets and VC options. Feel free to keep discussing before then to help sort these out.

I will be back at work from Monday, but will still be available for any late changes needed for most games. If we can get our preferred trades and structures sorted well in advance for future rounds though, as we seem to be on track for here, it'll definitely help (I work about an hour away from home, so 6:30 starts like yesterday will not give me much time for any changes).

I like the plan above.

The only thing I’m unsure about is the Stars locking out before we know Hurricane scores.

Are there two that we want? We can get one for Kane.

They play Hobart at Blundstone and Adelaide at the MCG.
I think we have the two that are worth having in Stoinis and Clarke. The only other one I'd be thinking about would be Luke Wood but he's had his good and bad and may be better off getting someone else, even a good single gameweek player.

I think Head is almost a must if named in the squad, given Lynn is already there with Short I'm reluctant to load up on too many Adelaide bats even if a few of them are likely to bowl but might still be an ok move given the teams they are playing. I think from a brief look, maybe bring in an Adelaide bowler in Thornton or Agar, Thornton has been expensive last three games so might be better getting someone else but also been getting wickets.

Might be good going with something like
Ellis>Thornton/Agar
Philippe> Carey or someone>Wood and loop them.
Abbott>Head

Marnus is a potential in if you were to use a boost but might also be a good idea to wait and see if he bowls and if so how much.
I wouldn't rule out Khawaja completely given he's also on the Heat side with a double, anyone who's had 2 tons in the big bash shouldn't be ruled out entirely but would also want to wait and see what the bbl form and role is like.

Sorry for not much certainty here, hope it helps a bit.

Should we switch Richardson to Mujeeb? Won't cost a trade, and neither will contribute to our side, I believe Mujeeb has a far better BE though.

Edit: 14 v 44 from Tails' tables. Not as much difference as I thought. Checked back and it's much the same on the SC site.

Edit 2: Switched to Mujeeb due to the lower BE. I don't think it will make much difference either way - we are trading either out next round anyway, although we have said that for a few rounds now. :ROFLMAO:

Kane averages 72 at Marvel and both look below their best, I reckon we back him in.

Sorry, missed this before lockout. :(

My thinking was that Mujeeb basically has a 30 point headstart from BE's. As per a few recent posts in the main topic, you would usually back that in, so I did. In the end, it will just affect our total team value slightly, which is quite healthy already. I don't think it will make too much difference either way - even with a 0 from Mujeeb it will drop by a couple of thousand dollars at most.

All good - you did the right thing. I was probably too focused on scoring and not on the fact they weren’t on ground!

I'm pretty high up the Luke Wood overachieved viewpoint to be honest, just dont think he does a great deal thats all that special, with only so many trade ins is he really the priority?

Think most peoples sole focus is going to be on the doubles which is probably correct on the law of averages, still think theres some very high quality PODs that are going to be available though, dont mind looking at perhaps one, closing the gap from circa 60 overall to top 10 won't happen by playing a straight bat, does depend if the goal is consolidation of rank or having a crack, always been inclined to do the latter myself.

Stoinis out next rd

Time to re jig the thinking
I was actually trying to work out if we could put the E on him, with him not bowling I thought he was a bit of a risk, even with the double. One less concern now.

I reckon Stoinis => Webster is a good start for next round. Will bowl more, and may bat higher again.
