Think this calls for a poll.

Options as I see them:
Webster
Wood
NCN
Carey
Head
Thornton
Bancroft
Hardie
Kelly
Other (in post)
Those look like pretty good options to me.

Any suggested changes to the above?

We can maybe squeeze one more in by freeing up Other (which hasn’t been that popular/could be suggested as an alternative in the question itself).

Also, is NCN fit? I thought he had a niggle.

All I know is it was mentioned by one of the commentary team he was off the ground at some stage last game having an injury assessment.

Have not heard anything further, but screams 'red flag' to me.

Maybe Dorff?

I like the look of Adelaide batsman versus weak/weakened Stars and Renegades attacks (no Boult, Mujeeb, Hosein, Stoin or possibly NCN). They have a run of Adelaide Oval games coming too.

Carey and Head’s second strings to their bow give me a bit more confidence in picking batsmen over bowlers as well.

Yeah MCG and AO scream bat friendly. Unless something changes both pitches played pretty smoothly..

Surely Couch comes in for the Stars, at 105k. @Darkie would attest to this?
Fresh, highest wicket taker last season, just hasn't been given a go. Thoughts?
I am very positive on him as a prospect, it will be interesting to see if he gets a run. They may replace Stoinis with a batsman as a more like for like, given he’s been bowling only selectively.

Rd 9 not playing: Kerr, Philippe, Abbott, Wade, Stoinis, Mujeeb

Probably/possibly not playing: Handscomb, Connolly

Single game: McDermott, Ellis

That leaves us with Clarke, Inglis, Lynn, Short, Tye and Agar as DGR in Rd 9.

Who do we prioritise as our 4 outs (definitely seems a good round to boost to me)?

I definitely agree re boosting this round. A lot is changing right at this point, it makes sense to change our team to reflect that.

For me Mujeeb, Stoinis and Philippe look like fairly easy outs for various reasons.

I would err on Ellis as the fourth at this stage. He hasn’t looked quite right to me this season (even his fielding is off), and he’s only posted one strong score this season. He does have the return double, which is really the only thing that makes me a little reluctant, but if it’s 40 x 2 it’s probably not worth waiting for.
