I dont think fading David would be the end of the world, scored well but largely relied on their top order not performing, youd think at some point they would stand up especially with both games in Tassie on roads.
Just trying to get some conversation going to see what we are looking at , doesn't appear to be a lot of interest though

I think a poll would work well here, but I can't post these myself. :)

I appreciate you trying to get the conversation started, I actually agree with most of your suggested trade ins as the ones to target, but it is not just my decision, so more discussion is welcomed.

All good.

Having the boost up our sleeves and the 4 Scorchers gives us a good opportunity to try some strategy if we want to use Abbott as a Emergency and Sams as a safety net as a captain choice , I gather we will VC a Hurricane and not C them outright.

Possibly could set up bowl line as :-

1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , Tye / Abbott (E) , Sams

If we took Abbott's score though , might need to be able to swing Sams to Bat line , so would need a free player.

Heat play 3rd game so can use any 4 of them.

Need to figure out proposed bat line

So many keepers & bat bowl

Handscomb 🍩 / McDermott or Wade

Wade or McDermott / Khawaja

Ellis + 3 , Tye 🍩 / Abbott (E)

Fill in the gaps

Trade out : Hardie , Inglis & Labuschagne

Sit on the boost (Bancroft/Tye) depending on the first game and what the VC scores & WK E

Just think most people have lost interest, season really starts to drag on a bit and if you're personal team isn't in contention its easy to lose motivation.
Good concept , wrong sport.

Games & rounds are to close together to be able have detailed comments/ideas and suggestions and then have time to make decisions.

Hopefully @Ironhawk runs it again for AFL , be a lot easier and would expect more involvement.

Been good to see how other people think though and there ideas

That’s true, SC interest in general drops off of you don’t do well.

On the other hand I reckon some of us have got more interested in this side as our own has slipped out of contention. I’ve found myself prioritizing this side ahead of lockouts at times.

I'll have more to say on this once the season is over.

You probably know by now that I like to try different things with my BBL team rather than taking it too seriously, so thought I would see how this goes in the BBL first, rather than trying it straight up for AFL. I have to say this has definitely worked a lot better than my POD only team (choosing players under 10% selected only), my random.org team (through finals when that was a thing) or my 9 WKP team . I do think it'll be a bit more manageable for AFL, especially after seeing what works well from the BBL version.

I also have some ideas on this that I’m happy to share at some point. I think there may be a simple way to simplify managing the team, but the idea only came to me today.

The next thing you should try is to pick a team with the aim of winning the whole thing 😀

I didn't mind your multiple WK's team , often run 4-5 in IPL RDT myself.

Hopefully you picked up some tips on how people plan , prepare & strategise for playing BBL SC.

Despite my frustrations at times it was good to see how different people think and look at different trade ideas that I may not necessarily see myself (always learning and trying to get better)

AFL SC is obviously a completely different mind think , trying to upgrade to full premium ASAP and with 4-5 days between rounds should be a lot easier for discussions and come to a decision on trades.

Hats off with coming up with the idea and running it , was unfortunate that we didn't get a lot more people contributing and sharing their ideas/thoughts but that's up to them.

Hopefully we finish Round 12 & 13 strong.

Do we try to decide on:

(1) a Plan A, assuming no Hobart weather issues,

and

(2) a Plan B, in case it looks like a washout?

If it looks partially rain affected, we can potentially adjust between these bookends.

What is the current forecast looking like?

I'm leaning to 2-3 'Canes max if it was up to me, a lot of SGR's are outscoring DGR's lately.
