With all the Hardie talk....pondering is a Hardie double in rd2 worth more or less than a Sutherland double in rd5. Cheaper to start with, Dr Rus gone by Rd5, Sixers bowlers likely to take wickets, and has been bowling a lot more in shield cricket as evidence by opening the bowling last innings, getting a Michelle along with MOM honours.
I've been thinking about Sutherland a lot and I can see the appeal... but I can't make myself do it. I didn't view his spot as safe at the best of times, but with Russell in for the first four I can't see how he plays ahead of him, Rogers or K Richo. If he is named in a five man attack though I think it's a very low risk option. The issue I have is you'd be picking him on his bowling, and notwithstanding his improvement with the red ball this season he's often been hit around in the BBL way too easily. I also tend to think bowling form isn't quite as transferable between formats because your aim as a bowler is significantly different.

The one I'm looking at at a similar price is Murphy, who could conceivably play in tandem with SOK (and will fly the flag when he inevitably gets injured).

What's your thoughts on Murphy's JS?
Is Bird an option?

First time looking at SuperCoach since my horrible ending to the AFL season with Ben keays ruining any chance at a good ranking in the last few weeks

have put togetehr this team just by looking at first 3 rounds, and was hoping for any obvious flaws or details ive missed, have read the last few pages of this thread to try get back into it

but overall love towards supercoach is low right now, was debating whether to give this a crack at all, but seems like a good way to get back into it

trading in ben keays over clayton oliver in round 8 will never be lived down

Solid side with the players on a double nicely spread between batters and bowlers on their respective sides. Not much to add to what was previously mentioned other than to make sure a backup plan is in place if you wish to move away from your current keeper setup over the first few rounds without placing a large impact on your planned trades.

As for AFL Supercoach, do not continue to dwell on the trade for future seasons. The end result was not highly improbable nor unforeseeable and the probability of continually nailing trades is very low and over an extended period the good should hopefully start to outweigh the bad.

With “overall love towards Supercoach” does a strong correlation exist with results?

more or less my decisions, saved trades was in the perfect position, luxury traded which ended up costing me 500+ points, just a brutal game sometimes, but we move on, cant dwell

Rethink on my team has Short into the side and I've decided to only take 2 Thunder bowlers in Sam's/Green. Not confident of who makes up the rest of their bowling attack regularly during 1st 2 DGR between McAndrew, Sandhu, Doggett, Farooq and Qadir to then trade them out after round 2?

Thunder signing the 4th overseas player has completely stuffed up planning for which bowlers they pick each game so my simple solution is stay away😩
