Sorry I might have got those mixed up. I just get the feeling that batters are starting to work Rashid out better now, esp his googly. Bit reluctant to include until I see his form
DGR to start , be extremely popular.

Brave move to fade him

If you didn't start him when would you trade him in though if you follow the DGR fixtures?

Scorchers are playing a pair of intraclub practice matches at Scotch College tomorrow & Friday.

du Plessis arrives on Monday.
Not sure how much we learn from an intra club in general, really needed a game against opposition with full player availability but its not going to happen.

@Herbie66 transcript of what Huss said.

And Hussey revealed a bolter that he saw up close in his role helping to coach England’s all-conquering T20 World Cup team.

“I don’t know if I want to tell you, but in my team at the moment I’ve got Luke Wood from the Melbourne Stars. I watched him pretty closely in the T20 World Cup, he didn’t play any games but he was around the squad and training and he can swing the new ball and can smack a few out of the park so he might be a little quiet one to sneak into your team.”

Hussey said studying the fixture is key to picking a winning team, with some teams playing twice in a round and others having a bye.

Bloody hell the Honeyball mag is a good read. Highly recommend, some great insights

I’m coming back around to Farooqi over Green. Green looks a 40 ppg max, Farooqi could be anywhere from 30-55 I think and saves a bit of coin

Didn’t realise how big the Shadab averages were from leagues around the world either 👀

I am tossing up between Hosein, Mujeeb and Behrendorff for the bench, anything on those guys?

Also thinking of fading Matt Short for a POD, anything on him also? Cheers.

Edit: I’ll send my draft team as well,
Keepers: Phillipe, (Inglis)

Batsmen: Sams, D Short, Hales, Rossouw, Stoinis, (Hardie), (Sutherland)

Bowlers: R Khan, Boult, Siddle, Farooqi, Zampa, (Behrendorff), (Murphy)

Not sure about Sutherland but I’m thinking they might still pick him as a bowler even with Russell in the team.
Also thinking about Handscomb as that 3rd keeping option, he should be cheap, is in good form and will be handy to fill that keeping position if I want to play Inglis and Phillipe in the scorchers double.
I am liking Wade as well instead of Phillipe but the hurricanes bye is making me stay away.

If both were guaranteed to play the games then Farooqi would be an easy selection over Green. That risk makes it a tougher call.

Shadab is a very difficult call, I’m no closer to a confident decision on him.

Totally agree on the Farooq call. I'd pick him over Green as the opener/finishing bowler if (only if) I was confident he'd play all 4 games in the 1st 2 rounds I'm more confident that Green does. Thunder picking up the 4th overseas player has made the call even tougher not knowing which one they'll leave out each game.
