Never thought I’d be the happiest with my team with Billings and Shadab in it, but here we are 24 hours out and both look like staying based off the flexibility and looping opportunities I’ve looked at going forward
Be very keen to see your starting team once everything is locked in , think you have managed to fit 60-80 names into 16 😉

Think this is the happiest I'm going to be with. Normally my benches are much cheaper as I wanna get my value on the field but with this season being so undecided and so much value for cheap I have shifted to more value on the bench as a security measure. Agar and Tye are my two certains for the scorchers so I feel most safe with them and am happy to sacrifice value for R1 to avoid issues in R2 and 3. Hosein is my pick to potentially gain an extra for round 5 where i think he will be more expensive whilst having no byes and can sit as extra protection against the random weather/injury if need be.
- I'm not happy with Gilkes but think he for price and 4 goes at it for R1+2 is worthwhile and given my bench cover can be benched or moved on next round with relative ease if required.
- Would prefer to move Wood at to Bat and have Farooqi over Rossouw but there are issues with this; 1. Stu*** up my loop where Hosein can cover with CDG swithcing with connolly, 2. Rossouw has better JS 3. Rossouw, Hales, Gilkes are my only true batters which are less consistent but missing rossouw if he gets a big score in any of the 4 innings will be fairly devastating for R1+2
- I have really tried to target as many overs as possible as probably indicated by my preference of bowlers.
- Wood is my key POD for R1 where he is a worse bowler than Boult HOWEVER has been indicated to bowl at better times, should have a better chance of swinging the bat and is 75K cheaper with DPP.
- 55K is spare but there isnt any change I like where I could use the money to upgrade, Stoinis and Zampa have been in my team through the 4000 variations, Wood I like, green is the only guaratee for ST, CDG should have an excellent role and I cant upgrade rossouw to M short or Sangha and Gilkes/inglis cant become Billings or Phillipe so.
Any thoughts are appreciated, especially any holes or disagreements the more perspectives the better.
Quite like this side mate, do you think CDG gets overs with the ball? You seem quite excited by him.

I'm starting to come around on Wood as being my third Stars player also.

One thing to note, I see you currently don't have the EMG on Rossouw, don't forget to get that on before lockout

Think it comes down to CDG or Farooqi for me, rest of the side is pretty set at this point.

Ye I am excited by Woods, I think picking bowlers given the death overs is important. CDG is kinda odd like I think strikers picked him for an experienced head in the middle order but surely you pick him in the draft for 2-3 fairly quality overs as well and he has to be in front of short for those overs. The news about Farooqi in front of Qadir has risen the Farooqi stocks immensely for me and I am thinking either green or CDG or Rossouw go to Farooqi for me BUT I need to play around with where I can go for next round and round 3. Don’t wanna get stuck with too many stars plus thunder and have my hand forced round 3. And I will ensure I get my looping emergencies right think I accidentally took it off seeing if I could loop still with CDG. Thanks for imput :)

De Grandhomme has me torn a bit, can make a case hell be very good value but can just as easily see him batting infrequently and not bowling a great deal of overs, lot of those middle order all rounders have come out here the last couple years and very few of them do any good.

Ive had Siddle as an absolute lock from the moment his signing was announced personally, for me it will likely mean I go down to CDG and put the extra cash on my bench for next rounds prep.
Yeah I do like Siddle, but can’t squeeze him in atm. Short, Sams, Boult, Rashid as the big 4, struggling to find the cash for Siddle but if Short looks like he won’t bowl I’ll go Siddle

haha, been a but too quiet. This is my maximised team not using loops.

That is the most anti-Professor team I’ve ever seen you put together!

Not knocking it at all by the way. Looks good.

Only issue I see is running the two DNP’s, think one is more than enough.

I'm not sold on Zampa at all tbh

Boult I want but cash poor

Can't have em all
Absolutely. I’m nervous about no Siddle and no Clarke but would need to then go without a Short or Boult who I’d be equally as nervous about. So yeah, just need to back in who you think will perform, can’t do much more than that

See I had a feeling you have been quiet in the background working on @Diabolical 8 starting Thunder side 🤗

Renegades have 3 OS spinners , you have chose the one that won't start (most likely) , they have a ordinary draw for looping too , try Hosein or Mujeeb 😀

Looks good

I might even just pick Short regardless in all honesty, still has a massive ceiling with the bat and will be gone for me after one round anyway.

Elite analysis mate, really good stuff. Could you potentially start Billings? Use him as a loop for Gilkes and Rossouw round 1, then use him to get Inglis and Gilkes on round 2, round 3 DGR and then trade Phillipe?
Exactly what i am doing brilliant analysis Bazley is the key to it all though NDD
