Bench Bancroft, Inglis or Philippe?
Philippe averages 50s against Perth and at the SCG, but hasn’t been in great form. I traded him a while back with reasonable confidence at the time.

If I had Philippe I think I’d be fielding the other two.

My suspicion is that Bancroft and especially Inglis would be more popular players up the top, if you’re focused on that.

Actually, *if* you’re worried about the weather, Philippe may be the play. He’ll bat as normal in a shortened game.

Bancroft bats above Inglis but you’d think Inglis gets more fielding points.

If the match looked like being shortened pre lockout (don’t miss lockout!), my preference between the Scorchers may depend on how much the game is shortened (Bancroft is better batting higher if it was a really short game).

Importantly, I have no strong view on the weather risk. In general I think it’s probably overstated, especially if they can get on for an on time start.

I think I need the donut keeper

Is Holt better than Handscomb?

The draw works for both, but Handscomb is $30k cheaper.

Is Handscomb likely to play again?

Bazley vs Neser?
Last night I was leaning towards both, with Bazley first due to BE. Neser seems more solid (ie proven) though.

Worth flagging that the pitches and opponents for R12 seem more bat friendly to me, which is probably not ideal for either. I suspect I’ll back them over a Brown type, however.

Need to decide on the best way to access Shorts 117 VC score.

Via Paine (Current Donut)

19 + Sams On Field + ONE of Wade / McDermott On Field

VS.

Via Change of Trade (Sams OUT)

Wade On Field + McDermott On Field + ONE of Meredith / Hardie On Field (via Sams Traded to a Donut)

It would have been handy if I could've got a look at the Meredith/Hardie score, but with Paine and all the other potential BAT movements locking out tonight I have to decide which option to take prior to tonights game.

Thoughts?

I think I’d go option one.

If I understand correctly, the only drawbacks of that are locking in a 19, and “wasting” one of Wade or McD on the bench. A high expected score from Sams (I assume you’re happy that he’s fit etc) o***ets the 19, and while McD could score 100+, he hasn’t been playing that well and doesn’t have the gloves, so he seems a c. 40 player to me, ie no great waste. He’s playing the best attack too.

It also seems that you’re a little lighter for DGR numbers than some (albeit with good quality), so Sams is more likely to be fielded in coming rounds. That probably tips the scales further in favour of that move as I see it.

Confused.

I can trade in a vanilla 3 of Dorf, Baz, Renshaw.. but it leaves me with 11 DGR and Short (and lesser extent others) on the bench.

I’m currently thinking of either going to a Hurricane this week over day Bazley, or dropping Cam Bancroft.
