0/659 11 to play

felt very behind things yesterday so changed it up last second.

Late VC off Sams to C Short, grabbed Naveed (bench) to afford Billings over Wade

Funny game, almost lost a TV when Short given out.

One decision left to play Rousso and get Lyth or get and play Khan which tbh is really really tempting me

I’ll take that considering I got locked in without a chance to do the VC/C loop

Managed to save the situation by picking MShort… wish I had picked either HThornton or RKhan instead of PSiddle (and CLynn) tho but still got another game to prove themselves.

Picked up Naveed too who did well on the bench.

No Short. No Lynn.

Siddle desperately unlucky. The role is there for CDG batting at 5 and bowling 3 overs.

Naveed superb on the bench. Happy to have started him at 62.5k.
CDG is interesting. Didn’t look threatening with either bat or ball but the role does give him a chance to score. Will wait until after game 2 to assess.

CDG and Kerr the let downs tonight. Easy to rectify mistakes. If we knew all the value picks to take then we would all have the elite teams. Running into Naveed looks an OK decision from a value basis if he can continue to get a gig. Didn't look out of place.

I'm not Stars heavy (no Heat), so I'm not going to rule out trading a Star like Wood and bringing Webster or Brown (if he goes well) in ahead of time.

Kerr and CDG are probably most likely to accomodate a further Scorcher or 2.

Have had Christian most of the time the last couple of seasons however is he past it now? Bad bowling from the non-spinning bowlers tonight and he did not bowl? Could he have bowled with worse results? No explosive innings like previous years although situation pretty hopeless when he came in so his batting innings might not signify much.

Still unsure what I do with my wicketkeepers!! Leaning towards taking Gilkes but maybe a POD play for next round is to not have Inglis (or Bancroft), so that would mean fielding, Harper, Billings or Wade this week. I’ll sleep on that one and hopefully thinking becomes clearer tomorrow.

Feels good to be nipping at your heels. Also have the same conundrum to solve.. good luck however you land!

I’m not too versed in Cricket but Thornton reminded me of HKerr from last season… He seems to be the bowler that batsman try to go after to try to relieve some pressure after facing the likes of Rashid, Agar and Siddle… kinda like Kerr with Abbott, OKeefe and Dwarshius.
But they seem to be good enough to counter attack and get those batsmen out.

Is that a fair assessment or is Thornton really good?… (I’ve barely heard of him)

Also, Dwarshius looked abysmal today… the whole Sixers unit tbh…

And your doubles partner is just 1 point behind 🙂
