Seems like the batting coach isn’t doing him any favours. Somehow manages to not get out but looks like he could every ball. Looks uncomfortable when he used to look effortless.

The smart thing to do was loop him when they announced he had covid. Wouldn’t have done much for my score with Brown as E.

I recall Punter giving him advice between innings last season when he was “just” a commentator. From memory Ponting even explained what Short was doing wrong, and how to fix it, on the telecast. A net session or two could be handy for Short.

If Stoinis isn’t fielding because of Covid, and that was planned, I reckon the Stars should have to field one short. That sort of thing is not on in my view.
