Three teams have passed twice, electing to make their selections closer to the season.
What is the point of this draft?
I guess to be more specific, what is the point of doing it so early? So much can change between now and then - just ask the Scorchers - that the landscape now might not even be relevant to December.

HH - Anderson , Hain , Jordan
MR - Mujeeb , QDK

I know they only had to pick a minimum of 2 players each , I would have thought now that any other OS players are replacement players , haven't come across anything that they can defer a third selection to a later date , sounds bizarre.
ILT20 retentions and new signings have been done , SA20 auction is later this month.
Might still end up losing a heap of players to the Abu Dhabi T10 & Sri Lanka T10.
Afghanistan - 2
England - 13
New Zealand - Munro (has retired)
Pakistan - 3
South Africa - QDK
USA - Anderson
So aside from the Abu Dhabi T10 , Sri Lanka T10 , BPL , SA20 & ILT 20.
Afghanistan have a T20I series v India Jan 11-17
England have a white ball series v West Indies Dec 3 - 21 then the Indian test series starts Jan 25
Pakistan tour Australia them go to New Zealand for a white ball series Jan 12 - 21
QDK still has a CSA contract and South Africa have white ball matches v India Dec 10 - 21, before 2 Tests (he has retired) - curious if CSA release him or not
Possibly but he’ll be down at 6-7 and bowl 2-3 so decent for $62,500 but not great role. More of a batting all rounder, better bowler than Ross Whitely but not astounding, Gabba should suit him with the big boundaries as he bowled lots of slower balls into the wicket during the hundred.

No problem, lots of quality players that missed out like Atkinson and Mills from platinum as well as Banton, Carse, Dawson, Mahmood, Overton, Potts, Shadab, Naseem Shah, De Leede, Farooqi, Hosein and Raza who I was pretty confident would get picked somewhere down the line. We’ll see if a few might find themselves as replacements down the line or for some as their third international.
I highly doubt they'll have walters at 62k, usually players like him are around 105k.
BBL draft was super disappointing tonight I won't lie. 13 Englishmen picked makes me inclined to believe the only research that most teams did was watching the Hundred. Draft probably should be scrapped after 2 failures in a row
