Personally, I have taken less notice of actual game scores in this competition but have taken a lot more interest from the "actual" batting orders ..

An aspect I wasn't expecting but something I have been able to reflect upon many times ...

Still love the hands off nature of this comp though !!
The batting orders listed here have been useful for other purposes more than once. I used them to confirm Cartwright’s role, for example - just search “This thread” for his name, and I can see where he’s batted/been listed for every game!

Given we are half way through now I would like to get a gauge on how relevant this comp is staying in peoples minds when also playing the main game. Without the need to regularly submit anything it is hard to tell who is engaged and who has lost interest. There are obviously a handful of regular posters in this thread who are keeping up so I am probably more aiming this at those that are watching on silently (nothing wrong with that btw).

I seek this information to take into a account for possible future editions of a comp like this. I have an eye to the women‘s and men’s T20 world cups later this year where I think a comp like this is a good way to take an interest.

From my own perspective I have spent more time tracking my SC team to date than I probably expected. I look pretty closely at the results (probably a good thing given I prepare them) but have only had an awareness of who I have drawn when watching a game about 50% of the time. Having said, after last night, I am now totally fed up with BBL SC so will probably swing more attention across to this comp where I my decisions are not constantly made to look foolish.

Finally do people like looking over those extra stats that I post from time to time or is it just a sea of more numbers and colours that you glimpse at and move on quickly?
Probably skipped over this post a touch with so much to monitor at the moment (NBA etc) ... however, every so often I get some time on my hands as a bit of a night owl myself to go back through the posts to see what I have missed ..

So my thoughts on what you have canvassed ...

- I would be in any future comps you run including the mens / womens T20 ...

- I find the extra stats interesting and do take notice of them but find them to be an unexpected "bonus" .... not intending to upset the apple cart etc, but I actually haven't done anything with them as yet ...

I expected to win ?

Despite the "random generator"
I imagine anyone finishing last will be questioning the “random generator” even though due to it being random means that we get a variance like what we have seen and someone has to be last.

Line up 100 people and get them to each throw a dice 10 times - some will get a total closer 10 and others closer to 60, with a big range in between.

If your luck turns now and you don’t finish last, will that make things less random or more random?

It'll still be a random, that's the only constant
