I find it hard to believe that the Tasmanian Government can legally prevent Nick Hind from entering Tasmania under the Australian Constitution.
My understanding is that the Constitution expressly provides for freedom of travel between the states with the possible exception that a state can take reasonable measures to deal with a public health emergency.
It is hard to see how banning Nick Hind from entering Tasmania because he was at a tier 2 exposure site for less than 5 minutes, has tested negative for Covid since, and would then follow strict protocols while he is in Tasmania is in any way reasonable.
I would back Dennis Denuto to win this case without any help from Lawrence Hammill.
