looks like it has been increased so that each team plays a full H&A season (each team has 14 matches).
Hopefully this won't "dilute" the product , too much could be overkill especially if their is no "window" for the Test/ODI players too play a reasonable amount of games.
Don't think our playing base is strong enough to support 8 teams without the Internationals , would love to go back to a 6 team comp and then invite Hong Kong and PNG as the 2 extra sides and get the BCCI to release the Indians and allow them to play.
Apparently TV ratings have been declining in the last 3 years so be interesting to see how the change of broadcaster affects things also will crowds suffer with fans having a extra 3 home games to budget for.
With the Big Bash now mid Dec to mid Feb where does leave Shield matches , will the time come where it will be only a 5 round shield season and more focus on the Big Bash.
