Finch 2 Tests, 181 Runs @ 45,25
Harris on Debut
Khawaja 35 Tests, 2455 Runs @ 43.83 7 x 100's
Marsh, S 34 Tests , 2082 Runs @ 35.28 6 x 100's
Head 2 Tests, 122 Runs @ 30.50
Handscomb 13 Tests, 829 Runs @ 43.63 2 x 100's
Paine 15 Tests, 765 Runs @ 38.25

Been reading a lot about how this is Indians best fast bowling pack to visit Australia and how well they bowled in South Africa and England, think they are in for a big shock on Australian pitches and conditions, if Jimmy Anderson can't swing the Kookaburra then Bumrah sure isn't , Ishant Sharma is on his 4th tour, he isn;'t going to suddenly be a world beater

Might be a low scoring series (250-300) unless King Kohli gets some support, Rahul, Vijay, Pujara, Rahane, Sharma travel worse than Guinness

2014/15 Kohli scored 4 centuries, Vijay, Rahane & Rahul 1 each

Vijay Ave 60.25, Rahane 57.00 , Pujara 33.50, Rahul 32.50 , Sharma 28.83

whoever stands up and makes runs for either side could be a hero

very interesting decision , even more so given back-to-back tests , the weather forecast for Adelaide and the limited preparation of Starc, Hazlewood & Cummins

Australia XI 1 Marcus Harris, 2 Aaron Finch, 3 Usman Khawaja, 4 Shaun Marsh, 5 Peter Handscomb, 6 Travis Head, 7 Tim Paine (c), 8 Pat Cummins, 9 Mitchell Starc, 10 Nathan Lyon, 11 Josh Hazlewood
Actually like the look of this team.

personally I think it is our worse batting line up since WSC, Usman is our only Test class batsmen, Shaun will score runs somewhere and fail elsewhere, jury out on Finch & Head at this level, don't mind Handscomb

would have gone Doolan, Harris, Khawaja, Handscomb, SMarsh, MMarsh myself

Amazing that a specialist batsman can average 35 and be selected 34 times. And he’s one of the clear cut choices at the moment!

I think he averages 60+ when he scores over 10.

Read a stat once that he is our worse bat in history with the most single figure scores.

Scored 6 hundreds so obviously has talent , just reflects on our poor batting standards that their is no one putting their hand up to replace him.

Gone are the days when all our batsmen were ave 45+ then Gilly was at 7.

Look back at blokes like Cox , Di Venuto , Law (1) , Maher , Siddons would scored mountains of runs here and in county cricket and never got selected.

Hayden , Langer , Lehmann , Martyn etc took years to cement a spot.

But yep after Usman , SMarsh is the only other one I see of scoring a 100.

Does Kohli mean rabbit in Indian? I understand rabbit goes well when spiced with Cummin...

Don’t forget those highly valuable 35 wickets at 42.

Surely if we forced all our fit batsman to bowl, at least one of them could average 42.

Pakistani leg spinner, Yasir Shar has become the quickest to reach 200 test wickets. He has reached the milestone in his 33rd test, breaking Clarrie Grimmett’s 82 year old record of 36 tests.

What makes you say we lacked a 5th bowler?
There 9 for at end of day 1, combo of some elite fielding and terrible shot selection.
