He's not allowed to open. Hasn't taken the field all innings so wouldn't be allowed to bat before 7. If, you know, they were chasing more than 20...
He's allowed to open, as it is an external injury. He wouldn't be allowed if it was an internal injury like a hamstring, back, knee, etc.

Australia will be forced into a selection change for Thursday’s second Test in Adelaide, after quick Josh Hazlewood flew home to Sydney on Sunday following a side strain suffered during the nine-wicket win over England at the Gabba.

It can be revealed by Foxsports.com.au the opening bowler took a flight from Brisbane to Sydney on Sunday afternoon, dressing in plain clothes and without his Australian teammates on board.

He will be ruled out of the second Test on Monday, with West Australian quick Jhye Richardson set to play his third Test and first since his debut series against Sri Lanka in early 2019.

wow , everything I saw today , was a await and see (think they are flying to Adelaide tomorrow) and that they would wait closer to the start of the test to make a decision.

Think they said he had scans on Friday night.

Any updates on Warner ?

Former Australian Test cricketer Michael Slater will appear in court today after allegedly breaching an apprehended violence order.

Police arrested the 51-year-old about 7.45am today at West Promenade, Manly, following their investigation into a reported breach of the order.

Slater was taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic), use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and is awaiting a mention before Manly Local Court today.

Slater first faced the courts in October with police alleging he used his mobile phone to menace, harass or offend his former partner between March and October this year.

He was alleged to have stalked or intimidated the woman at Randwick in Sydney’s eastern suburbs between noon on October 12 and noon on October 13.

An AVO was also taken out by the police against Slater on behalf of his former partner.

Wow  - has gone off the rails completely
