I believe play finished at 6:30 two days ago, and 6pm yesterday.

We were still around 60 overs behind, so I was surprised that play didn’t continue longer.

Does anyone know why the difference?

I believe its because the other two days had rain which allows for the day's play to be extended further. If there's no rain or similar stoppage they're limited to 30 minutes post scheduled close.

Interesting, thank you.

I thought they would (/should) be trying to make up maximum time until they had caught up. Seemingly not!

Again a bit of a contrast to the BBL approach.
