Surely they won't play Wade as a specialist bat.

Head would be a good option as well.

Just make Warner the T20I captain and be done with it , but we all know that won't happen.

Indeed, Inglis being in there as well adds to the confusion from my perspective. No Carey, so he seems to have slid a fair way back.

This WC seems to have shown the value of captains having actually played the format they are captaining - ideally with much the same players in the team - so you certainly would hope we’d be playing our intended captain in those other series.

Yeah the only real contender to upset the apple cart now is the winner of SL v AFG tonight. Both still have to play two of the top four though, so will have to beat one or both of them.

NZ the most vulnerable but even that is a stretch. Still to play SA, SL and PAK but one win ought to be enough.

Most interest is probably going to come down to which two teams manage to avoid India in the semis.

Very interesting, thank you. Feels like ages ago that he was playing for Australia.

Hopefully they have a better plan for the captaincy across formats long term.
