India mucked up there , needed to bat until tea and lead by 375+

323 to get in 4.5 sessions seems gettable , pitch looks easier to bat on today.

Ussie can bat for hours , who can support him.

Game on

Poor shot from Usman, not sure what he was thinking there.

Interesting match in a sense, it doesn’t seem to be that hard to get a start on this pitch, but nonetheless it has been low scoring and there have been few big partnerships.

Apparently WA chased down 310 at Adelaide two weeks ago for five down, with Marsh getting 160 not out.

If he gets to 10, his average rises to 60. Hopefully he can settle in again tomorrow, and Head goes with him.

98 overs available tomorrow so if we bat all day we win :) quite simple really.

seems easier batting when the ball is new , and the pitch actually looked easier to bat.

Never seen the outfield so slow.

Marsh is awesome when he gets over 10 , him and Head need to survive to drinks then lunch minimum.

You know they will just bowl Ashwin all day from one end , so just play safe against him and get the runs from the 3 fast bowlers.

Gold coin donation tomorrow for entry so should be a big crowd.

Good on them for doing this. I’ve got a bunch of work to do but if I can finish early, and the game is looking well and truly on, I’ll try and get down there too.

No changes expected for Perth , although if the C has re-broken his finger we may need a new WK (Wade) and C (Hazlewood)

Finch , Harris , Khawaja , Handscomb & Starc all should be on notice.

So what happened in the Shield Week 6.

NSW
centuries to Hughes & Larkin , 99 for Henriques

QLD
Burns 18 & 74
Labuschagne 21 & 78 (would like to see his bowling in the 3rd & 4th Test)
Renshaw 14 & 27
Neser scored his 4th 50 for the season

SA
Cooper with 89 & 10 , passed 500 runs
Junior "Boof" with 57 & 67
Carey with a century

TAS
Wade with a 63 & 40 , now the leading Shield run scorer
Bailey with a century

VIC
Maddison & White with centuries
Maxwell 57 & 34*
Pucovski back with 1 & 67

WA
Stoinis 21 & 85
Turner 80 & 63*
Marsh, M 21 & 11

should be 5 very embarrassed SPECIALIST Batsmen tonight (SMarsh excluded) who were outscored in the 2nd Innings by Lyon , Starc & Cummins
It's amazing how often this happens ... yet it seems to be perfectly acceptable for a batsman to not even attempt to bowl.

yeah I have always thought you just teach the batsmen to bowl leggies Chinamen , left arm orthodox etc etc even for 2-3 overs especially when we tour the subcontinent

in the 70's we had the Chappell brothers , Walters , Stackpole , Redpath

then Border , the Waugh's , Ponting , Martyn , Bevan , Lehmann etc

Watson , Symonds , Katich , Clarke

now it seems the majority just bat , surely they bowled at school and juniors

same as India , Ashwin didn't look threatening at all , change it up with Vijay , Rohit , Kohli himself , batsmen loses concentration , eyes light up , mid hit and bingo ......wicket

Talk that the wicket is green , fast , lively and going to move all over the place.

And 38 degrees.

Team batting first could be all out by tea.

Finch , Harris , Handscomb under pressure to keep their spots and Starc needs to pull his finger out too.

Looking forward to it.
