Until 2019 Jordan got by by cruising. Then he got a rocket. This pre-season he has won the 2K. His fitness seems to be some way ahead of last year, which was way ahead of 2018. Apparently a lot of good football judges at the swans are now sold on him. They never doubted his ability, just his application.

@Connoisseur thanks for the offer! How about potential break out crow Wayne Milera? Shoulder issues last year hampered what was meant to be his break out year in 2019. He has been played all over the place and my hunch is he won't get enough of it unless he is playing off the HBF where people will use him and he is also quite a nice intercept/contested mark. If he looks like his will be settled off the HBF all year then I am interested.

Winger or outside mid? Crows midfield is a bit one paced by all accounts, inject some speed with Gibbs going to HB?

If I was to take a stab at who brings the pace to the crows mid in 2020 it would be Chayce Jones and Brodie Smith.

I think Wayne will get some rotations but not sure he quite has the footy IQ yet to go into the mid for any decent minutes...he just can't find it enough like a Josh Kelly or Lachie Whitfield type. His 2 way running required on the wing may not be the best yet either. He struggled last year being thrown all over the ground and I think a year in one spot to build his confidence and then a crack at more midfield time in 2021

I would be more confident picking Milera from an SC scoring perspective if he was off HBF but he is certainly worth a close watch in the pre-season at 402k. Plenty were picking him last year at a higher cost and he will be fitter a year on barring and injuries.

Everyone seems to be locking in Sam Lockerty but he hasn't played for two years. I don't think he'll know where his lungs are after 5 minutes of the first quarter.
Even if he has a good start he's not that cheap and his price won't get away from us that quickly.
I'm prepared to not start him.

He is currently priced at around an 80.3 average. It is possible it could take him a while to get back to his best form, agreed. Worst case he's a bust and may cost a corrective trade (for probably half the people in the comp). Best case he ends up a top 6 defender again like his last two seasons for only 436K.

I think at worst he'll make at least reasonable cash, if not end up being a keeper and as mentioned will be a very popular pick. I'm all for having POD selections, not picking him is likely to be a POD, but he is still a lock for me. May take a few weeks to get fully up to speed but it should be easier for a defender, where there can be a lot of cheap possessions.

SPS as a Def/Mid at 440k odd is one that interests me - would be grateful for a stats breakdown on him when you can!

Thanks for that! I think there were a few injury affected games in there which were colouring his average so those disposal splits are useful! Will be on my radar to see if he gets more of an inside mid type role.

Only 1 100 scored in 2019 which was the 10th for his career and the 1st time that it occurred with less than 27 disposals.
