Not interested in Collins unless we have JS issues in defense. Birchall needs a full preseason.

Really love the mid pricers here. Looking at Blakey for D1

Thoughts on Hammer @ 350k @BigRuss

Does pittards departure help him in any way?
Don’t reckon mate. If he were 50k cheaper if maybe more seriously look at him but, he’s never really been relevant before and I expect he remains that way. Would be more inclined to look at Burton in that price range personally.

Injury history aside, and I do agree, it doesn't make for pretty reading....but if you are willing to look past that, Blakely becomes a pretty big lock in my opinion....will play majority midfield, coming into his 5th season...it just makes sense
His Contested possession rate decreased from 34.80% in 2017 to 23.66% in 2018 whilst averaging roughly the same amount of disposals (2017-23.88 2018-23.77)

2017 Contested Possession Avg: 8.35
2017 SC Avg when contested possessions equal/exceed 9: 109.6 from 10 (low of 74 and a high of 130, 2/10 below 100, 3/10 120+)
2017 SC Avg when contested possessions below 9: 60 from 7 (low of 7 and a high of 115, 6/7 below 100)

2018 Contested Possessions Avg: 5.77
SC Avg when contested possessions equal/exceed 6: 88.43 from 7 (low of 62 and a high of 115, 4/7 below 100)
SC Avg when contested possessions below 6: 81.17 from 6 (low of 48 and a high of 114, 5/6 below 100)

Plays 4 of his first 6 games in WA where he has averaged 98.63 from 16 matches since 2017 in comparison to 74.57 from 14 interstate.

I like Roberton at that price pending preseason form and the all clear health wise.
Assuming he would slot straight back into that rebounding defender role.

Didn't Jeremy Webster take over that role after Robbo went down last season in round4? If so does anyone know why
Webster's form dropped right off later in the year?

I see Brodie Smith mentioned a lot. What am I missing? He has played 8 seasons and ave 93 once and if you ignore this years 2 game 87 ave the best he has done is ave 82. If he was going to break out surely he would have had the chance to do it by now.
