After chopping and changing for awhile

This is my lineup at this stage

GK Schmeichel (DEN) Donnarumma (ITA)
DF Florenzi (ITA) Wiijndal (NED ) Alaba (AUT) Alba (ESP) Hernandez (FRA)
MF DeBruyne (BEL) Fernandes (POR) Mount (ENG) Eriksen (DEN) Calhanoglu (TUR)
FD Ronaldo (POR) Lukalu (BEL) Depay (NED)

Still tinkering, tossing up between Fernandes or Cancelo for my second Portuguese player and also with my 3rd Forward in Depay Mbappe or Kane

Don't forget to loop the GK loop for captaincy.
Hungary No. 3 for me Dibusz.
That's what I'm thinking, but is he? Bogdan came on as a sub in the last friendly a few days ago, but but of them play for the same club in Hungary and Dibusz played all the games. When they wrapped up the title with 5 weeks to go, only then did Bogdan play the last 5. He was fit for the whole season.

I really want a GK loop from Hungary as they are the minnows from the last group that plays.
Won't be picking any HUN players to start as they are up against 3 power houses who can win this tourney.

Italy have the tightest DEF so Donna is my pick for GK. Given all their attackers are listed as FOR, he won't be taking up a precious slot from the ITA team. Lots of better big gun FOR from other teams to warrant picking ITA strikers.

My lot. Lots of good DEF to choose from, but it's about balance given we can only have 2 from each country.
I've picked DEF from strong countries I don't expect to have 2 attackers from.

Plan is not to use transfers on defence.
Will try use 4 transfers a week on attackers, targeting minnows.
Hopefully that then leaves 18 transfer for the last 3 weeks (6 per week).

Looked at fixtures. Trying to target home gamers too, like SPA, NED, DEN & ENG.

GK Bogdan/Dubusz (HUN) Capt
Bench -Donnarumma (ITA)
DF Alaba (AUT) Alba (ESP)
Bench - Spinazzola (ITA) Rudiger (GER) Varane (FRA)
MF Ramsey (WAL) Fernandes (POR) Foden (ENG) Eriksen (DEN) Gini Wijn (NED)
FD Ronaldo (POR) Lukalu (BEL) Depay (NED) VC

Going to put Italy GK and Chiellini on the bench and if they keep clean sheet
then just bring 2 dud DEF in to get his score if not just keep initial 3rd defender.
Will have to change dud GK though and bring in dud midfielder for VC purposes.
At the moment Wijnaldum is MID sub with Busquets on field who can be replaced
with a dud.

Wondering whether I should drop Ronaldo (yes, you read that correctly) for Lewandowski, and grab Cancelo for the 2nd POR spot.
A POR CS and he won't score a lot less than Ronaldo with a goal, but Lewan can do better than Ramsey or my 5th MID (not really liking anyone ATM). I would then get KDB for the 5th MID, and that will save me a transfer later.

Lukaku and Depay feels like they're a must, as they've been returning a goal involvement a game in the last year.
Ronaldo has blanked in 7/9 of the last games. If you watched the highlights against Israel, he had a shocker. He's contracted Morata disease.

That said, with 30 transfers to be used in 6 weeks, are they going to be an issue?
The biggest issue will be GW3, where big teams rest their best players if they progress to the next round.
With only 6 transfers per week, will we be able to field 11?
Maybe we should get a few '2nd stringers' for the bench, to ensure we cover GW3 better?

I understand the game plan, but then you'll have 2 dud DEF to transfer out in the following weeks.
Is it worth it just for a CS? Transfers will become valuable later, especially if there are upsets.
Need 14 outfielders who can contribute as there will be lots of rotation in this tournament.

Yeah. Maybe just do the GK and MID one.

If I try and read anymore I will just become a expert and totally confuse myself even more 😀

This will do for Round 1

Dibuscz (HUN) / Donnarumma (ITA)

Alaba (AUT) , Alba (ESP) , Florenzi (ITA) , Rodriguez (SUI) / Dias (POR)

Eriksen (DEN) , Zielinski (POL) , Xhaka (SUI) / Modric (CRO) , Melinovskyi (UKR)

Lukaku (BEL) , Lewandowski (POL) , Ronaldo (POR)

Will try and check starting XI's to make sure they start , but apart from bringing in Kane at some stage have absolutely no plan

Should be fun

Originally had Foden, but changed to Mount, is Foden a better option

World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday

1.30 am Nepal v Australia
2.15 am Malaysia v Vietnam
4.30 am Kuwait v Jordan
Plus half an hour for eastern states.

Aussies are pretty much through to the next phase, a win locks it in, but even an unlikely 2 big losses from here should be good enough to qualify as one of the 4 best 2nd place teams.
