Not even a goalkeeper for my patented single or double promoted goalie structure?
LOL. Maybe one. Don't think it's worth it for two.
A 3rd string, non-starter GK from a Europa playing team for a loop is the way to go.
Also, if the GK goes minus, you won't get the negative score.
Those advantages are worth more than whatever you might make in value appreciation.
Can use the DEF spots to make cash for a flip.

Let's hope for a change in fortune on the results front for 2022.

Too long ago now , but didn't we have the French for the taking and we couldn't put them away before losing 2-1.

Not holding out for much (actually didn't think we would qualify) , haven't seen a more uninspiring Socceroos team in all my years of following them , although I must admit I don't follow the players that closely now , wouldn't even know where the majority of them are playing domestically.

Need Rogic back though at least.

What ever happened to Luongo ? That 2015 Asian Cup he actually looked quality.

Penalty v France , Penalty v Denmark , nothing v Peru

I guess we are doing better than Italy though , failed to qualify again.

We might be lucky that Asia has 8 automatic qualifying spots for the 2026 World Cup Finals (48 teams)

Beat the other team in that 2018 group this morning. (y) Hopefully that shows we are in better shape than 4 years ago (lost 2-0 v Peru in 2018).

I think this could be a bit of a weird WC, at a completely different time of year to usual and in the middle of a desert. Hopefully it helps teams more used to hotter climates, although with Tunisia in our group, they are probably even more suited to those conditions than we are.
