Hard to understand how the start procedures take a whole hour from here. If they're happy to open the pit lane now surely they can't be taking this long to get started - it was 20 minutes in MotoGP earlier today!

717 points, crap week.

The trades weren't terrible, with Alonso's DNF meaning I only lost 20 or so points. What hurt was having 3/8 Mercs which was a bit more than others.

The new 2nd place ran leclerc C over Max. Ballsy move, either motivated by a genuine belief that leclerc could outqualify Max and hold a lead on a tough street circuit, or maybe just that this was as good a time as any to try something different to climb rankings. Either way, fair play.

Russell to Sainz highly likely. Then either Lewis to perez or Lewis to (prob) norris and Merc back to RB

I've prepared some driver and teams break evens going into round 18, which is this weekend.

Drivers: Dan Ric -53, Stroll -2, Bottas 3, Norris 5, Gasly 6, Tsunoda 11, Schumacher 20, Albon 20, Zhou 23, Magnussen 24, Perez 27, Latifi 31, Seb 31, Leclerc 35, Sainz 68, Ocon 71, Hamilton 97, Alonso 97, Russell 109, Max 197

Teams: McLaren -36, Alfa 12, Alpha 15, Haas 29, Williams 29, Aston 30, Ferrari 66, Mercedes 120, Alpine 134, Red Bull 178

Trades:
Just 5 rounds to go so there is an argument for trying to put your strongest team forward and not worrying so much about the money. Dan Ric and McLaren provide easy money if you do want to go that way. Max (and probably Red Bull too) will lose money.

So a couple of options on the table.

1. Out: Russell In: Sainz
2. Out: Russell, Mercedes In: Dan Ric, Red Bull

Does anybody know if the current standings will count if the race doesn’t restart? I can’t see anything in the rules on this scenario.

Last year Belgium was scored based on where they were on the road after the "parade lap". Assume this would be the same.

Yeah they'll be awarded a % of points. So i think max gets 6 points for the win if they don't get under way again. If the race gets to 25% they'll award more points

For the actual championship I don't think anyone will score right now. Sky were saying the new regulation requires two green flag laps, which makes sense.

Yeah definitely how it should be. Belgium last year was a farce
