Quick questions who finishes higher in the draft picks Elimination loser 1 or 2? Do the Eagles or Bulldogs finish 8th?
Because now Geelong has pick 11(GCS) and now also WCE pick 12 or 13.

Thought I was pretty clear with that earlier...
There was some reference in the heat of the moment to umpiring. I took that as normal bias for barracking supporters.

After cooling down, what is it you feel is the reason you lost?

In finals you sometimes just need that one great quarter from a player to sway the result. Tonight it was undoubtedly Mason Cox.

After that West Coast were chasing the bunnies tail. Unfortunately for them they couldn't quite grab that tail.

When you're ahead moments are great contests, win or lose. When you're behind moments are significant, win or lose, which suddenly transform into game changing moments. Within that we impose umpiring decisions, which are mostly on review correct, due to the actions of players.

Sometimes it’s the timing of the decisions and not the decisions themselves that actually impact on the result - I’m ok we lost, both teams had a proper crack, I think we were unlucky with the umpiring but that happens

I also feel we were the better team on the night but obviously we lost so apparently we weren’t and I can live with that too.. The pies won’t make the GF so I’m disappointed the better more dangerous team didn’t progress

It is actually hard to work out how West Coast lost. They were dominant in the middle with Nic Nat. Grundy was terrible for most of the game. Clearly Buckley thought so too (don’t give me that rot about sharing the load with Cameron). Collingwood mids were outstanding which equalised that a bit but the WC mids were pretty good as well. Darling was great and JK did more than enough and all the WC defenders had their moments of dominance as usual.

I think it comes down to Collingwood were able to create just enough chances with their quick play to kick a winning score and they took those chances. WC did too but just weren’t able to take enough of them to get over the line.

They simply won the first quarter 4.0 to 1.3. After that they basically held their own. If Cox had kicked 1.2 or even 2.1 instead of 3.0 they lose due to the momentum and belief.
