Any Pies supporters want to enlighten me on De-Goey and why he is not scoring ? is he just another Stringer -- can win games of his own boot, also talked up about more mid time but does nothing with that time :confused:
I would not consider myself an expert, but basically I think you're on the money. We seem to be giving him a lot of mid time for someone who is so good up forward, and at this stage, not a very good mid.

Because quite simply not as good as a player as the media would lead us to believe.

Over hyped for consistent output.

Just looking at Tom J Lynch in 2019 on Footywire.

Round 1-7......7 games @ 60.85
Round 8-16....8 games @ 59.87
Round 17-23..7 games @ 95.71
Finals.............3 games @ 106.66

Jack Riewoldt returned in Round 17
@Juzzo

it still looked justifiable ?

if only Greenwood , Petracca , Simpkin , Bailey Smith etc etc

.............The Demons turned around their poor start to the season with a strong win over Gold Coast last week, with Petracca starring with 25 disposals and two goals.

The 24-year-old has averaged 24 disposals and a goal a game in Melbourne's five outings this season, with the Demons aiming to level their season at 3-3 on Sunday at Giants Stadium.

"I think it's probably my most consistent patch of form [of my career], not necessarily my best form," he said.

"I feel like I've created really good habits from Monday to Friday and a really good routine and once you do that the confidence in yourself starts increasing. My consistency over a five or six-week period has been better than what it's been for my career."

Now it gets fun ? (if you were actually clever/smart enough to believe all the preseason talk about Petracca , Greenwood , Brayshaw & Simpkin (+ Bailey Smith) looking through my team ???? ✓

Petracca 119.4
Walters 111.9
Greenwood 110.9
Brayshaw 102.7
Simpkin 101.2
Greene 101
Hawkins 99.5
Ryder 99
Dixon 96.6
Ebert 96.6

* personally like seeing key forwards in the Top 10 (still wish they "forced" us to pick one each season)

* no Whitfield or Dusty

* only Son Son & Tobias cost $ 500k +

Fwd line complete:
L Whitfield, D Martin, C Petracca, B Smith, J Simpkin, D Smith, C Rozee
1 of the fwd/mids will play at M7-M8

Acquisition price:
D Martin: RD10= $516,600
J Simpkin: RD4= $483,100
C Rozee: RD3= $471,600
C Petracca: RD1= $441,300
L Whitfield: RD6= $441,200
B Smith: RD9= $433,700
D Smith: RD1= $335,800

Ecstatic that my plan to avoid Dusty and Whitfield as starters paid off but unfortunately not starting L Neale, starting T Lynch and trading A Brayshaw in RD4 meant I was not able to fully capitalise on the advantage.

Congrats mate , I recall you were very strong all preseason on the value forward line and getting Martin & Whitfield at reduced prices.

Anyone got info on Shai Bolton re CBAs, per cent mid/forward, etc? Could be a relative cheap option to fill my forward line. Not sure how Cotch back affects him? Looks like he's taken the next step, may figure in my team next year if he continues this form.
