JOSH Dunkley will line up for the Western Bulldogs on Monday night in a crunch match against Port Adelaide.

The star midfielder hasn't played since round three after battling ankle syndesmosis, but he'll be a certain starter ..........."Dunks (Dunkley) will play, there will be at least one change there as you know Matty Suckling injured his hamstring," Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge said on Sunday.........Suckling is set to miss up to six weeks after straining his hamstring.........but Aaron Naughton's return could be earlier than expected........

Wow. Big if he does miss, even though best 18 means it’s a lot easier to carry him near term.

Just had a bad score and faces a big BE as well.
Wow - this is huge. Watch me make a different choice for him than I did for Simpkins (who has turned into a spud) and see how bad I stuff it up with exactly the opposite result and choice. Goodbye Gawn - bring you back in a week or two

This seems to have flown under the radar:

DOEDEE

“Tom’s had three or four good sessions on the track now,” Saunders said.

“All he really needs to do tomorrow is pass the remaining monitoring tests we’ll put him through, have a good session on the track and we think he’ll be right to play.”

"
Toby Greene will miss the Sydney derby in Perth after being ruled out for up to three matches with a hamstring injury.
The GWS Giants superstar could be back in two weeks, but won’t have the time to get himself right for the Battle of the Bridge against the Swans on August 13.
Fellow Giants star Matt de Boer will also miss two-three matches with a hamstring injury, as GWS counted a heavy cost to their comprehensive win over Gold Coast."

Doedee Update

CROWS DEFENDER TICKING ALL THE BOXES
- The Phantom

In another big boost for patient KFC SuperCoaches, Adelaide defender Tom Doedee is likely to return for Wednesday night’s clash with the Magpies.

The stand-in skipper, who missed the Round 9 loss to the Kangaroos with a minor hamstring issue, has put together a solid block of training and is doing everything right to be available for the home fixture.

“Tom’s had three or four good sessions on the track now,” Crows Head of Medicine Steve Saunders said on Monday.

“All he really needs to do tomorrow is pass the remaining monitoring tests we’ll put him through, have a good session on the track and we think he’ll be right to play.”

And the 23-year-old did just that, impressing onlookers at Adelaide’s Captain’s Run on Tuesday morning.

It now all comes down to how Doedee pulls up from the light session with the team to be named on Tuesday night.

His replacement as stand-in captain, Brodie Smith, however, may be a notable absentee on the teamsheet after copping a knock to his knee early on Saturday.

“As a consequence of the knock, he’s had a low-grade injury to a ligament on the outside of the knee,” Saunders said.

“We’ll save tests on Brodie until the morning of game day itself. We expect him to be available, but obviously we won’t be taking any risks with Brodie Smith at all.”

As Doedee trained with the main group, Smith was restricted to jogging laps at West Lakes.

Even the mandatory 21 days would take it to the 23rd August so could be Round 14/15 by then.

Be nice to know if Round 13-16 are compressed as well.
