A few tips I would add...

Don't skimp on your bench, even at 50% point scoring those bench points are vital.. so avoid just throwing away a bench spot on a cheapie who isn't contributing points.

Try look for value and prioritize getting maximum price changes every week with your trades... There is a maximum price rise or loss of 100k for any given week. Look at imports who start the game at 1m and can quickly add a ton of cash if they are scoring well.

The big men (PF & C) are key in this game because of the extra value of double doubles. The extra 10 points they get plus the ability of the big guys to have big rebounding games... often sees them have huge scores of 60-70 fantasy points in a single game. It's much harder though for the guards to get a double double with 10 assists being much harder to get. Triple doubles and an extra 20 points are much rarer and are usually obtained by guards who can do a little of everything (Score, rebound and pass).

Keep an eye out for the role players who aren't big scorers but can do a bit of everything, The ones who get steals and blocks are valuable and can quietly end up with good fantasy score despite the lack of making baskets.

The best PG, SG & SF's generally score between 35-45 fantasy points per game. The best PF & C's bump that up to between 45-55 fantasy points per game.

It’s pretty easy to pick up, as others have said bench matters don’t lock minimal role rookies, only 100k max rise and fall per round so trades can be planned quite well

Is forgiving of chuckers with lower fg% but also really rewards blocks/steals/offensive rebounds

Imports start at 1 mill, if you miss correct quickly
