J Kelley (Chargers) could be another to add into the mix-

OK, you want a little more? After allowing the most fantasy points to running backs last season, Carolina has ceded three rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games. Kelley, meanwhile, is no mere change-of-pace backup to Austin Ekeler. Through two games, his 35 carries tie Ekeler and four others for sixth in the NFL. The rookie’s snap count rose from 27% in Week 1 to 52% in Week 2, and he received three handoffs inside the 10 in each contest. Lock Kelley into your Week 3 lineup.
True.

However, the urgent consideration was Robinson, given he plays tomorrow morning.

https://www.nfl.com/news/james-robinson-proving-jaguars-wise-in-moving-on-from-leonard-fournette

According to Next Gen Stats, Robinson has gained the ninth-most rushing yards over expectation (RYOE) in the NFL (among running backs with at least 10 carries) with 26. He's also helped the Jaguars gain eight first downs, the third-highest total of chain-moving runs among those in the aforementioned top 10.

Through two games, the Jaguars have run the ball 41 times with either Robinson, Chris Thompson or receiver Laviska Shenault Jr.. Robinson has handled 32 of those carries, clearly making him the bell cow in a development that seemed very unlikely just a month ago.

Prefer Robinson over McKinnon due to the 49Ers likely running a committee until Mostert returns and the threat of J Wilson stealing carries/red zone possessions.

McKinnon has averaged 25 with Mostert in the team and Robinson 28 with a bigger game in wk2. Garoppolo and Mostert both out injured, and the WR/TEs banged up.

Both are somewhat RBBC, but who has the better upside within that.

The big questions:

  • Is James Robinson the real deal?
  • Does Jarrick McKinnon become an RB1?
I think Robinson is - I brought him in for Akers.
He gets the touches:
Game 1: 16/23 rush; only 1 target
Game 2: 16/27 rush; 4 targets
He might/might not be effective:
Game 1: 3.9 yds per carry
Game 2: 6.4 yds per carry

In college he was an effective workhorse:
2018: 205 rushes for 1,290 yds and 12 TDs
2019: 364 rushes for 1,899 yds and 18 TDs

He's apparently got decent footwork, can run between his blockers, has a very good 40in vertical leap and a 125in long jump - so he's quite athletic.
He went undrafted, I think, because he only ran 4.64sec for the 40yds at the combine.

His coach Marrone likes him:
"Just a real steady, good football player. If there's something there, he's going to find it. He's not going to make mistakes and lose yardage for you, and [he's going to] try to keep the chains going. He's a tough runner.
He's got a little burst getting through the second level. I was happy to see him take that one to the end zone."

Did the Jags release Fournette because they believed in Robinson?
Who knows but it's possible.

Oh, and he's up against a Miami defense that gave up 218yds and 3 TDs to NE in Week 1.

In Supercoach you get to choose an emergency. There are no chosen emergencies in RDT NFL or EPL.

Reason is to make choices rather than loophole. Plenty of trades to keep people interested but there needs to be a separator rank teams.
I mean if you put the E on two players the lower scorer comes on for the player who doesn't play in SuperCoach. It's fine, I just personally don't get the reason for it. Makes it harder, but it's also completely illogical.

I think it's because they don't want you playing a loop-hole on every line.
If you have two on/off players on the same line - say in your WRs - you could put the one playing first on the bench and see how he goes. If he scores poorly you put the other on field. If he scores well you put a non-playing player on field and keep the other that is playing on the bench as you know the higher score will be taken.

I get that it makes it more difficult, but having the lower score come on is illogical.

ECR currently has him as a bottom end RB2 rest of season. That's usually good enough for me when we are talking RB cash cows. The -37 BE is just the cherry on top.
I saw that, too, but I tend to think that that might be too low.
I think that the ECR is rather slow to respond to unexpected success in fantasy.
The pundits can take some time to value a player with no draft value and no NFL success.
I'll be interested to see how he is ranked in a couple of weeks time.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it here but CMC has officially been placed on IR (Injured Reserve). This means he CAN NOT play in the next 3 Panthers games, even if he's feeling perfectly healthy in a few weeks. 3 games is the minimum a player must sit out under the reduced IR protocol this season.

He of course could be out longer than 3 weeks but there will be no miraculous comeback next week or the week after, in case anyone was still holding out hope.

So coaches should factor that reality into their trade plans this weekend whether they decide to trade out CMC this week or not.

Not what Beckham owners want to read.

Speaking Thursday, Odell Beckham said he "probably" would not post huge numbers in the Browns' run-based offense.
"For me, one of my biggest growths has come in acceptance in a sense and for me knowing it’s probably not going to be that kind of season (with huge numbers),'' Beckham said to the Cleveland media. "You have two legitimate No. 1 backs in the backfield, and our team is very, very, very good at running the football, so you have to play to your strengths. Then I think you learn where you fit in and where you’re able." Beckham has a modest 16 targets through Weeks 1 and 2, though he managed a 43-yard touchdown in Week 2 as the Browns rolled up 215 yards on the ground. Unfortunately, Beckham's assessment is likely correct. The one-time Giants phenomenon is settling into the WR18-24 range for fantasy purposes.

So very true. Now watch him pull a fantasy relevant off of limited targets as he is propane to do.

Yes, just done Saquon to Robinson for the cash generation. Hard to trust JAX, however it appears to be a trust your eyes situation given the change in coach and GM.
Yeah, I was tempted to do the same, but I already have 3 Rookies in RB and I thought that is enough.
I'm thinking that scoring higher points to win games is important too.
Losing McCaffrey and Saquon leaves a big hole in scoring potential from my team.

That's my issue too - I have Edwards-Helaire, Taylor and Akers already, plus CMC/Barkley now out. Not sure I want 4 rookies there, 1 already injured.
