2 trades this week

Out Herbert and Robinson after 1 week, when you have a crap QB your not gonna see much ball.

In Luton and Tyreek Hill.

Need to upgrade 1 rb, was meant to be CMC, might pick someone who will outperform for the remainder of the year, might go Chubb, scored well 1st game back after a long layoff.

For anyone unused to the terminology:
off-coverage is when a defender, usually a corner back, lines up opposite a WR but away from the line of scrimmage - maybe only a few yds, maybe 10 or more. This tends to allow for short passes to be completed but helps negate big gains as the CB can usually stay between the WR and the end zone.
press-coverage is when the defender lines up at or close to the line of scrimmage opposite the WR. This aims to stop the WR getting any separation and enable the CB to stop the WR route and/or disrupt the pass. The problem, though, is that if the WR is fast enough and capable enough he can get past the CB and have open space to the end zone.

Anyone looked ahead at the "Ideal" team they'd wanna finish with? I'll give it a crack
QB: Kyler & Mahomes
RB: Cook Kamara Henry CMC
WR: Adams Hopkins Hill Julio Diggs Metcalf
TE: Kelce Waller
I've got 10 of these - the last RB and WR spots are going to be pretty important moving forward I'd say. DST and Kickers should see some variety.

Yeah I have same misgivings. Will cash out Herbert for Tua but not sure if I'll spend the cash......
Burrows -> Luton......
2 trades this week Out Herbert and Robinson........In Luton and Tyreek Hill........
........First up Joe "The Gopher" Burrow goes in a cash grab probably being replaced by Tyler "The Donkey" Bray. .......
I am looking for a cheap replacement for Burrow. I have done some research and narrowed it down to 4 possible QBs.

Tua Tagovailoa QB Miami $6,540,000, good job security (with this covid around may be useful). Has a minor ankle injury (not important if only a bench player this week),
Jake Luton QB Jacksonville $2,700,000, impressive 1st game but poor 2nd game, the Jaguars said they played him to see if he has any long-term potential, hmmm, poor job security?
G Gilbert QB Dallas $2,800,000. Replaced Dalton. Gilbert played so well, that the some media outlets reckon he fits in Dallas' game plan better than Dalton, but the coach said he is sticking with Dalton in week 11.
Tyler Bray QB Chicago $2,800,000, played 1 game. Chance to play again only if Foles and Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) are inactive.

At the moment, I am leaning to Tua because, if one of my QBs is out for a week, then he could be a replacement and I save a trade.
Between now and Monday, there may be other news that may change my mind.

Definitely more job security with Tua. I'd love to take a risk on one of the cheaper guys, but you likely won't have a back up if one of your starters are out/covid/rested

I think you have to pick them on the assumption that Tua is the only one who will be starting by next week. If you have lots of trades left that might not matter as you can just stash a non-starter on the bench and use a trade if either of your starters gets injured (assuming both your starting QBs have already had their byes). This might be worth doing if you also have a good plan with what to do with the extra ~$4 million. Neither of those are true for me so I'm going Tua so I have semi-decent coverage if a short-term injury strikes Mahomes or Wilson.

The Cardinals are reaching into the veteran well for reinforcements down the stretch.
The NFC West co-leaders are expected to sign defensive tackle Domata Peko Sr. to their 53-man roster once he completes COVID-19 protocols, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Peko is currently on a visit to Arizona, which won't have him available for Thursday night's game against the Seahawks but is hoping to fill the void created by the season-ending injury to Corey Peters.
Peko, whose career began in 2006 with the Bengals, was in a similar spot last year as he joined the Ravens in mid-November following an injury to Michael Pierce. He played seven games for Baltimore, starting three of them and recording 14 total tackles.
A week from turning 36, Peko would be reuniting with Cardinals DC Vance Joseph, his head coach for two years in Denver.
The Cardinals announced the following moves ahead of Thursday's game: They signed tight end Evan Baylis and linebacker Reggie Walker to the active roster from the practice squad, they placed Peters (knee) and defensive end Jordan Phillips (hamstring) on injured reserve, and they elevated defensive lineman Michael Dogbe and running back D.J. Foster to the active roster from the practice squad.
Here's other news, injuries and transactions we're tracking on Thursday:
  • Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson (foot) isn't expected to play Thursday against the Cardinals, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. He's officially listed as questionable.
  • Green Bay packers wide receiver Davante Adams (ankle) did not practice Thursday after being limited the day prior. Cornerback Jaire Alexander, who's been limited by a concussion and hand injury, was a full participant Thursday. Wide receiver Allen Lazard (core) and tight end Robert Tonyan (ankle) remained limited.
  • Detroit Lions rookie running back D'Andre Swift was added to the injury report and did not practice Thursday because of a concussion. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hip) was also sidelined after being limited Wednesday. Quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) and wide receiver Marvin Jones (knee) returned as limited participants. Tight end T.J. Hockenson (toe) remained limited.
  • Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said star defensive end Myles Garrett, who's been out with an illness, is expected to return Friday. The team is also hoping offensive tackle Jack Conklin and kicker Cody Parkey can come off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday.
  • The Kansas City Chiefs activated starting offensive tackles Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of their Sunday night game against the Raiders. Schwartz (back), running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) and defensive end Taco Charlton (ankle) did not practice while receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring/calf) was limited after being full Wednesday.
  • The Washington Football Team placed offensive tackle Geron Christian on injured reserve.
  • Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock (ribs) and tight end Noah Fant (ribs) returned to practice Thursday as limited participants. Cornerback A.J. Bouye (hip) and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) remained limited.
  • Cincinnati Bengals rookie wideout Tee Higgins (illness) was downgraded from full to DNP. Running back Joe Mixon (foot) was out for a second day.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Ali Marpet was a full participant in practice, though coach Bruce Arians said but he's still in concussion protocol. Arians said they'll know more about his status tomorrow. Wide receiver Chris Godwin (finger) was also full-go.
  • Miami Dolphins linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hip) was limited Thursday after being out Wednesday.
  • The Minnesota Vikings placed fullback C.J. Ham on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback C.J. Henderson (groin) was placed on IR. Cam Robinson (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (hamstring) remained out, and quarterback Gardner Minshew (thumb) was again limited.
  • Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin (calf) was a full participant.
  • Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle (concussion) was a full participant at practice. Tight end Mo Alie-Cox (knee) and defensive end Kemoko Turay (ankle) were limited.
  • Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley (foot) remained limited in practice.
  • Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell (calf) remained out while cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle) was again limited.
  • Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee), linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee), wide receiver Adam Humphries (concussion) and cornerback Adoree' Jackson (knee) did not practice.
  • Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills (back) was limited in practice.
  • New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee) and special teams ace Matthew Slater (knee) were limited Thursday.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to sign running back Jordan Howard to the practice squad after he clears COVID-19 protocols, Rapoport reported. Howard was recently released by the Dolphins and played the 2019 season with the Eagles.
  • The Los Angeles Chargers got a full practice from defensive end Joey Bosa (concussion) for a second-consecutive day, though offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga (back) was limited on Thursday after a full Wednesday. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs) did not practice.
  • San Francisco 49ers center Hroniss Grasu and linebacker Joe Walker were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
  • Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims has his two-game suspension officially lifted.
  • New York Jets offensive lineman Mekhi Becton (chest) was a full participant for a second practice in a row, while quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) did not practice and wide receiver Breshad Perriman (shoulder) was limited.

I'll be doing Bass > Justin Tucker to avoid a donut & Dolphins > Steelers. Expecting the Steelers to wreck the Jaguars O-line and I think now is the time to do the trade as I see Miami struggling a bit in the last 4 weeks with tougher match ups and the BE's favouring Pittsburgh.

Still trying to figure out if it's best to start Gibson who has the Bengals or Robinson who has the daunting task of facing Pittsburgh. Gibson looks awesome but just isn't getting the same level of usage as the top RB's due to them using McKissic all the time.
