An interesting comparison of yds gained to scores in some games this week.
NE - Houston: 22 - 28
NE: rush - 145yds, 0 TDs; pass - 303, 3 TDs, 1 Int = 448 yds, 3 TDs, 1 Int
Houston: rush - 52 yds, 0 TDs; pass - 224 yds, 4 TDs = 276 yds, 4 TDs
i.e. Houston had 172 yds less than NE.

Oakland - KC: 9 - 40
Oakland: rush - 122 yds. 0 TDs; pass - 210 yds, 1 TD, 1 Int = 322 yds, 1 TD, 1 Int
KC: rush - 96 yds, 3 TDs; pass - 163 yds, 1 TD = 259 yds, 4 TDs
i.e. KC had 63 less yds

SanFran - Baltimore: 17 - 20
SanFran: rush - 174 yds, 1 TD; pass - 157 yds, 1 TD = 331 yds, 2 TD
Baltimore: rush - 178 yds, 1 TD; pass - 105 yds, 1 TD = 283 yds, 2 TD
i.e. Baltimore had 48 less yds than SanFran.

I wonder how often that happens: the winning team has considerably less yds than the losing team.

Been consistently in the 20-35 range for the majority of the season with 7 consecutive matches with 50+ yards and 6/7 with 5+ receptions. If memory serves me correct he was an option I was spruiking as a WR6-7 as an alternative to J Washington and M Brown in the pre-season and several coaches started him but unsure if any persevered. Who’d a thunk that at the end of RD13 he would be averaging 9+ greater than Ju Ju.

My 2 trades done for week 14, out Tyler Lockett and OBJ can't carry his rubbish anymore. In DJ Moore been very consistent and doesn't have the ownership of a Michael Thomas. Also brought in Cole Beasley after a couple of spike games. I am concerned the Bills have the Ravens, Steelers and Patriots next. Hoping the players I've selected won't be rested and not in too many teams. ?

I just brought OBJ back into my team last week figuring he couldn't get much worse.

I was wrong.

I know he had an easy draw, but don't see the improvement. Must be the QB Mayfield hasn't been great.
Blame the coach/offensive co-ordinator. OBJ is simply not getting the targets.
In a must-win game on the week-end Cleveland had 24 rushes and 33 passes. OBH had only 6 of those targets and 2 of his 6 were desperation throws (not quite hail Marys) at the end of the 2nd qtr with with less than 25sec left on the clock.
He has been targeted less this year than any other, even in his rookie year: in 12 games in his rookie year he had 132 targets; in 12 games this year he has 103.

What I can't understand: why pay big money for a top WR and then not treat him like one?

If they're not rushing, they're going to Landry more than OBJ. He can catch with one hand as well and they still don't use him. I should have parted ways when he was > $10m, bit of a nothing trade, but there are others with better averages atm.

I brought him back a few weeks ago but purely as bench cover. I did stream him against the Dolphins and that worked out well enough but thankfully was able to bench him last weekend with Kupp having the better match-up against the Cards. He does have the Bengals at home this weekend but I still intend to sit both he and Amari if Julio gets up in time.

I don't know how often it happens, but in others sports (AFL, Soccer,) where the losing team had much more possession/dominated the game, but still lost.

I googled the whole internet and 'very consistent' doesn't appear anywhere in NFL ;)
