@7/11 If you have to run a cheapie as part of your 17 where is the best position to do it from? Currently I've got Napa, however is it better to run a 5/8 or HLB like a Keighran or Brown.

Yeah its a good option, I'm fitting Victor Radley into my Hooker position at the moment, so that's why Holland is in the centres.

Just be wary that Hodgson may not play 80 minutes with Havili there. He was the hooker when Hodgson was injured last season, so will potentially steal 20 minutes off of him. That said, I think Havili has played some 2nd row as well, so fingers crossed that is how it plays out for you.
Cheers for that , tbh that is way too technical for me to comprehend how many minutes they might all play each week ?

Depends on which teams you think are going to go well. If you're concerned about both team's chances, you go with the forward in Napa, as his points are going to be a bit more consistent than the halves. If you think the Warriors are going to touch up the Bulldogs, you go with Keighran in the hope he has a hand in 1-2 tries. Same deal with the Eels and Brown.

A lot of it is guesswork unfortunately, as tries and attacking stats are not a given, so you will find you get it wrong some weeks just purely because the game can be unpredictable.

Joined the league, generally go quite well in this format. Didn’t have to make any changes to my team after the team lists were revealed for the first time in my 10 years playing which has been a strange feeling.

I haven't even talked about byes and the origin period. It's a headache just thinking about the starting team, let alone what will happen in 2-3 months time!

I lived in Sydney 4-5 years ago and last played , got to the Byes and SOG had about 10 donuts so just gave up.

Think I will adopt my NBA RDT strategy of 5 minutes at the end of the round and run with that.

I have 24 green dots and 1 on the bench so happy with my side.

Good luck for your season.

I'm picking a skipper straight up, unless I decide to run with Isaiah Papalii instead of Hess. However, that doesn't feel like a great move.

Currently got the arm band on Cameron Smith.
Just traded Hess to IPap and Garner to BIrd which required Sivo to Host (which could be a trap) so that Nikora could go to CTW and allow Capewell to 2FR and able to be swung back next round to CTW. That allows a donut for round 1 looping and gives me a POD with IPap, who would have been in a lot more teams had he not been suspended by his club for round 1. He will be super motivated on return.

I love how we've all of a sudden become experts in a game we know little about, Supercoach and otherwise.

If anyone is able to find the time I would love some feedback on my team. At the moment, I've just tried to throw all my money into my onfield players so my main concern is that I don't have much to work with on my bench and playing reserves. Someone please let me know if this is a terrible idea.

Cook (Brailey)
Fifita, Lane (Napa*, Host)
Jurbo, Arrow, Murray (Capewell*, Garner, Burr*)
Morgan (Keighran)
Ponga (Brown)
Marsters, Croker, Bateman, Nikora (Garrick, Ravalawa, Allan)
Teddy (Nicoll-Klockstad*)

Another option I have is to downgrade Cook to Hodgson and Ponga to Walker which allows me to pick up Holland as my sub hooker, which gives me a decent bench player.
