The scoring for byes is as normal, but there are less games, so it means it’s very important to have as many players playing in the byes as possible. Having between 12-15 is ideal.

If you have more than that it’s either because you have planned it from the beginning, or you have sacrificed points in previous rounds to get the 16-17. The 2nd bye looks trickier to cover than the first with the teams that are playing.

That said, I wouldn’t let it affect your trades too much, it’s more of a thing to keep an eye on if you’d like to finish higher overall.
It's just a small interest (5-10 minutes a week) so I certainly won't be worrying too much about the byes , obviously the more serious coaches will plan and strategise though.

Thanks for the tip.

That's alright. If Issako drops below 400,000 then it's extremely likely that I'll bring him in for Ravalawa and if my memory serves me correct the Broncos were regarded as having one of the toughest opening draws.

If it wasn't for Ponga's price drop, Crichton would have been a near certainty to come in this week/next and also another one to keep an eye on would be V Kikau who just returned from injury last weekend.
I might have to set aside a few hours and work out where my team is heading , instead of just doing it on the fly each week.

Seems like you have mastered it already.

"Knights star Kalyn Ponga is expected to play against Manly on Saturday at McDonald Jones Stadium despite returning to New Zealand for the funeral of a close family member.
The Knights have put their star fullback under no pressure to return for the game but Ponga told club officials on Wednesday he will be back in time for Friday's captain's run and it appears certain he will play"

Great trades. What's the plan with Napa for next week.
No clue haha but Hughes is on the chopping block after 3 consecutive 40’s.

I’m taking a one week at a time approach with this comp but plan to look at my bye structure soon before it’s too late.

1/63 with E Marsters returning to his usual output.

Hoped J Issako had a quieter game so he could possibly drop below 400,000 in the next fortnight but will keep a close eye on him for a swap for M Ravalawa or J Tatola later on. Also great performance by P Haas on debut and should be a solid downgrade target assuming the return of TPJ does not have a negative impact on his minutes/role.

He's a great downgrade target for those who still have Napa in their teams. Will definitely be cashing out for him in the next week or 2 depending on which gun I want to bring in next.

Will likely bring him at the expense of J Tatola in the next fortnight.

Also will be strongly considering V Kikau as an option either pre bye/post bye.

Went McCullough to Cook and Moylan to Ponga this week.

Happy with Cook's output in the first half so far, already surpassed McCullough's score. Also my captain, so am hoping he can double up in the 2nd half.

1116 for me with new recruit Gutherson my lowest scorer.

Judging by the scores in our league, that's about par.

Currently on 1010 which looks around/below par.

After 2 poor weeks with captaincy selections scoring below 50, Fifita provided a serviceable 58. Hopefully J Friend returns as I'll start leaking too many points playing B Smith whereas others will have D Cook/C Smith/etc. Thanks to a differential of less than 70 I will be able to afford J Host to B Xerri and A Keighran to K Ponga this round and then operation Cook will be underway which could potentially mean I sacrifice A Tolman to fund it quickly so it only takes 1-2 rounds.

8 players below 50: B Smith, A Tolman, C Gutherson, J Arrow, C Murray, M Taupau, J Okunbor and CNK
7 between 50-79: E Marsters, J Tedesco, S Lane, M Morgan, J Trbojevic, A Fifita (C) and J Bateman
2 80+: B Nikora and N Cleary
