Man that is a bloody tough one. I think I'd back in Witherden and Moore - I see Moore as a real essential rookie early on with his scoring potential combined with that D/F. Gotta compromise to get all the best rookies.
Agree with @Bomber18 in regards to D Moore but do you have sufficient cash for H Andrews instead of A Witherden.

My thoughts are that Whitfield is much more likely to be a top 6 mid and possibly top 3 where I’m still not sold Witherden hits top 6 let alone top 10. Moore is also an injury risk and his scoring could fluctuate IMO week in week out not too much unlike a good rookie. He’s certainly a better option than Duursma but is also up there in price. This is a risk reward scenario that could end in 2 trades where Whitfield should stay from the entire season.

Don't mind the Dusty at number 2 at all but something about him makes me not trust him entirely due to his potential to always go on bad runs of form and Crouch feels safer. Dusty will go 105-112 in my opinion with a bit more upside than Crouch but you factor in Crouch's injury and his average goes up to 104.5, you factor in Adelaide improving and him getting more score involvements and he's already at 107. You then think about how his kicking got absurdly bad at some stage last year but that it has been better before. You can also look at how he scored around the time his hamstrings were playing up and he was returning from injury and I just think he's very underpriced, Dusty has more risk but a bit more upside.
Crouch recently became my Merrett replacement, so I quite like him, and would happily start any of the top five based on what we now know (I have the top four plus Cripps). I think I recall discussing Merrett vs Crouch with you, and I came away more positive on Crouch as a result ... so he was a natural choice when I cooled on Merrett :)

Dusty was both not fully fit and played out of position last year, and still averaged 104 - so with Lynch in the side, I think he has good upside in his own right. Also plays 22 most years (has missed one game in four years) and is a handy VC option. Talk that he may have a knee issue is concerning, but in the absence of further info on this I'm inclined to stick with him.

Greatly appreciate some advice on the following conundrum on which is the better combination

A. L Whitfield (D2), D Roberton (D4) and T Liberatore (M6)
VS
B. L Whitfield (D2), J Darling (F3) and rookie
VS
C. H Andrews (D2), D Mundy (F3), rookie

Current premiums/mid pricers above the Roberton and Libba range are:
R Laird, Z Williams, N Fyfe, J Kelly, L Neale, Z Merrett, R Sloane, B Grundy, T Goldstein, P Dangerfield, I Heeney and T Greene.

D Roberton and T Liberatore will likely be utilised as quick avenues to K Simpson/H Andrews and C Oliver/P Cripps.

Hard to split B and C as B looks like the most upside but C should be the most consistent. I really want to give H Andrews a 2nd chance as he only survived 1/2 a quarter in my side last season but it means I would have to forego L Whitfield.
A if Roberton is fit. Alternately Smith if you can make the cash work.

I agree with you re Whitfield / Witherden assessment.

I think Moore has too good a role to ignore. After watching him on the weekend, I personally have him as a must start but each to their own assessment.

Rocky, Billings, Boak vs Oliver, Lloyd, Rookie
If you expect 2 of the first 3 to be keepers, go with that. Personally I would take Oliver, downgrade Lloyd to a less expensive def premo (Williams, Witherden, Andrews or the like) and try to upgrade the rookie to Moore, Roberton or similar if you can.

Whitfield & Duursma v Witherden & Darcy Moore
Very tough one, as I regard Whitfield and Moore as locks.

Probably option one if pushed, given that Witherden apparently (?) didn't take that many kick ins in JLT, and that was part of my thesis?

Collins and Grundy have been locked for me for some time, so I guess option one. I don't love Brayshaw or Smith though.

Would you say it's worth looking for a cheaper option to have over Robbie Gray so I can get both Moore and M Crouch ? Currently have Moore and Steele but really want Moore and Mouchos

Yeah I share your sentiments with Crouch and just need to have him in my side, at the moment I can also do that by dropping Oliver to him and turning one of the unreliable rookies like Scott, Gibbons or Duursma into Sam Collins (who I think will average between 65-75 but should be completely safe for job security)

So that's two questions for you haha, I'm sure of the rest of my side barring injuries.

I'm willing to drop Oliver because I still consider his shoulders a worry in the long run (he may experience pain, might be impeded, I don't know I'm not a doctor but scores tend to drop post shoulder surgery).

Missed the dusty news but doesn’t sound too serious.
Who would you prefer out of him and Crouch? Noting I currently have Brad it that makes a difference.

Who’s going with all three of Gawn,Grundy,Macrae ?

If you are missing one or more of them,I’d be interested in which ones/ones.

At the moment I’m going without Macrae, could change though.
