I was surprised the Aussie factor wasn't stronger with the tips almost divided evenly; 45 correctly went for the draw, 43 went for an Aussie win and 41 went for the Danes to win. Those are the games were the right pick is significant and the bonus point is the cherry on top.
I personally went for Denmark 1-0 because I couldn't see Australia scoring and I couldn't see Denmark not. I was pretty right but didn't expect the Aussies to catch a break from the ref(s).
I'm not 100% sure, but I think my injury time scoreboard reads something like: 3 points gained, and 5 or 6 points lost.
Funnily enough, it's probably injury time that is doing the most separating on the groups ladders. That's where/when you need your luck!
I'm actually pretty pleased, that I actually figured one out correctly!
I haven't put too much logical thinking into my tips, but I did with France v Denmark. Both teams were sitting pretty for the next stage, as long as the opposition didn't score. So we had 2 teams playing each other, that were more interested in holding the opposition scoreless, than actually scoring themselves. I tipped the 0-0 draw, and we got our first one for the tournament, after 38 matches. I watched the whole game, and it went pretty much as I suspected. Neither team really showed much earnest attack.
As a disclaimer, I also went 0-0 in Aus v Peru, but that was because both teams looked like they were struggling to score!
