I think Taranto at under $500k as a full time mid available as a forward in SC will be hard to pass up, cant see him going under 100. Disposal and decision making lets him down but tackles and should suit Richmond's game style. Hopper is the one I am unsure of, should be around $365k but as a mid only, it's a tough price bracket. Definite value though.

Further proof, that the AFL model, forcing Clubs to pay 95% of their Salary cap each season is a joke!!!
I used to look at the Melbourne list from 10 or more years ago, and shake my head, that we were paying players, who likely couldn't get a best 22 at any other Club, the same amount or more, that some of the better teams best 22 players were getting. It makes a mockery of equalization, when you are forced to pay some monkey at your Club $800,000/season, to help use up the 95%, when you know full well, if he started on the list of a stronger team, he'd be doing well to get $500,000!!!!
While the Salary Cap calc is quite complicated sometimes, the solution is quite simple. Instead of a yearly Salary Cap minimum, make it a 5 year or 7 year Salary Cap minimum. Let them "bank" that money, and use it in later years in the cycle, to get/keep quality players. That way, the Clubs with the weaker lists can bank some salary cap, instead of wasting money over paying some B grade player, like he's an A grade superstar!!!

This doesn’t sit comfortably with me. Given Bowes is worth a future 3rd round pick (or thereabouts) in my estimation Geelong have effectively purchased a first round pick for cash.
Surely Gold Coast could have got something much better for Bowes and pick 7 from another club and got the salary cap relief as well.

Reckon you are bang on with this.
Assuming Taranto is FWD, which seems likely, he looks about as safe F2/3 type you can get.
DE% definitely isn't great, went at 60.9% by foot, but that's still better than some of the absolute top liners;
Oliver, Neale, Brayshaw, Baz, Laird, Miller
These blokes were top 10 for average disposals and all had worse % by foot, don't think their kicking scared too many away.
Don't think he can match these blokes for SC output, but should be easily capable of 100ppg.

Tigers a pretty crap fantasy side under dimma, don't think I'd want to start 2 of them anyways!
