Took a punt with Hall and Greene. One paid off this round at least.
Missed the game tho what was up with Greene's performance?

Anyone considering making a move now so next week you can get all the ESS rookies off-field?
Hartley out was a blessing in disguise for me - meant I brought in Weithering for him. Brown is at D7 with Ruggles to loop him and Adams, AMT is at F8 - feel for those not in my situation though :(

Hartley out means I traded in, and fielded Dea. Sad face. To achieve it I traded m crouch to b crouch. Hopefully it's not a double whack.

Nah, I'm pretty satisfied with my current setup. Rookies have ups and downs, you just have to deal with it until upgrade time. I will hopefully earn enough with my forward rookies to switch one of Tippa/Brown up forward in a few weeks time.

Might have to bring in another premium defender. Really don't want to field any Essendon defence rookies..
In the same boat. Cannot run these guys on the field for the next 5-6 weeks. Will cost me a trade next week.
I was just thinking that a def upgrade could be top priority for a few people. Some might even accelerate the process of there's an injury/underperforming premium on another line.
Granted we've only seen a half of footy, but boy I'm glad that I switched up my DEF yesterday with Lonergan at D5.

When I was playing around with teams, I just had a 'bad' feeling about having to rely on 1 ESS defender on-field, let alone 2 so decided to bit the bullet and took a premium out from the MID as there were more rookies picked for that line. The only downside was Bennedy was part of that swap in order to strengthen by backline, can't win them all but am happy with my decision.

I have Kennedy's 115 on the MID bench with the E on, and no FD.

I have Brown on the DEF bench with the E on, and Uebergang sitting at D6.

I was resolved not to do anything silly to get Kennedy's score, but watching the ESS game I'm wondering if it might be a winning play to go deeper in the DEF line. I could downgrade a MID keeper to an FD (Payne) and upgrade Uebergang to a DEF keeper, which gets Kennedy's score and restructures. Would probably be Wines to Payne and Uebergang to Laird. Is it panic stuff or prescient genius?
Gotta be real tempting after what we've seen today, especially knowing you've got BenKen's score to lock in. Don't think anyone was expecting the Essendon defenders to score this badly either (unless they have a Weitering type last half) so not sure there's any short term potential to start/loop them at D6.

Normally my motto is back your gut and research, But I reckon this is more than just rookies having up's and downs... The whole team is going to get belted EVERY week!!

Merrett getting his DE% up with a few cheap handballs.

Would love him to crack the ton.

Yeah.. Wish I was just a bit more keen on any DEF premo and a bit less keen on Wines. If things keep going the way they have for Brown and Tippa in the first half, I think I might find the temptation irresistible.

It seems a bit too one round, one score focused.
You took Wines, and left out Laird for a reason. I wouldn't restructure for 50 or 60 points, or whatever it works out to.

Dea dropped round 2? :p

This wouldn't worry me one bit as you would think that should bring in Hartley.
Kept enough fund to to upgrade dea to weitering also if need be.
4 played ATM Houli,Mena,Kerridge, benken happy so far considering houlis 74 was a terrible game by him
