Re: Round 14: Discussion

A message for Courtesans
I've been looking at your side since your post at the old site. Sorry, I can't remember the exact wording of your question to everyone, so I will just give my suggestions. Obviously teams selected on Thursday might change these ideas.
I think your key move for your trades in the next 2 weeks is to trade out McDonald, DPP Treloar to the Mid, bring in a cheap rookie forward, preferably with DPP mid status. Given there are at the time of writing no obvious candidates, you are rolling the dice no matter who you choose, so why not role on a DPP? Let's assume you get Shenton, for arguments sake. McDonald to Shenton nets $230,600 + your $5,700 gives you $236,300 for upgrades.
Now it comes down to your immediate needs for your next move. Can you get through this week without a donut in defense? If yes, Porps or Cameron to Sidey or Dangerfield will cost between $212,700 to $227,900. If no, then maybe it is Duffield to Carrazo this week, which will cost $15,600. Next week, if Duffield misses this week, it will be close to a straight swap, with Carrazo's expected price drop. Hopefully selections favour you this week. Duffield out, and no defense donuts make it an easy decision.
McDonald is only going to get less and less game time and games as the season goes on. Sheedy and GWS gain nothing by playing someone his age in front of young guys. He is your best cash option.
Good luck which ever way you decide to go. :)

Re: Round 14: Discussion

Thank you Rowsus for looking at my side. Your advice is sound, my forward line is weak, Treloar to the mids will give me a link, McDonald will probably get less games. It is time to roll the dice! Your advice and help is much appreciated.

Re: Round 14: Discussion

Giles has a break even of 116 this week and could drop over $10K. My plan is to move Roughead into the ruck and trade Dangerfield into my forward line. To do this I need the cash from McDonald but no downgrades currently. I am waiting for Morabito so hopefully he gets a gig this week. Suggestions please??

Re: Round 14: Discussion

Hayden 'The Cheese Grater' Crozier out.
A number of coaches wont be happy.
Thanks Geelong for bringing Smedts back into the squad.
I will be milking every last cent out of him for the next week or two.

Re: Round 14: Discussion

Interesting Marty Clarke dropped this week. Darley, Crozier, Adams, Redden out as well. Imagine the carnage if this happened in the last couple of weeks

Due to no Chapman and Zaharakis I've gone McDonald > Sylvia to avoid a 30 from Sexton.

Lee Spurr may get a game. Apparently Broughtan is a chance to be a late out.

I note that Beau Wilkes replaced Farren Ray from squad, with Stanley is an IN this week.

Therefore, just be wary about Nick Riewoldt and have a FWD EMG. I've actally chosen to start Gibson (SUB risk) to allow D.Smith be my FWD EMG in case Riewoldt is a late out. Normally, I'd start D.Smith over Gibson but I'm hoping that since Gibson was a SUB last week and that Matt Campbell is the IN for the week, that Gibson is not wearing the vest.

So remember to have a FWD EMG (Pendles & Chappy :().

Got home from work 5 minutes before lock-out. Fluffing around with Captain etc and just realised no Emergency for Forwards to cover Reiwoldt.... Tried to change and just as I was fixing it, lockout came on...

It's on! I'm projected to win my Supercoach Scores league game by a very tight 28 points against UR Team, with 13 POD's it should be interesting! Good luck guys!

I didn't think he'd play. At least if he doesn't Yarran has managed a respectable effort for once.

Broughton last week v Essendon foolishly turned his head round just as Mayne was about to compete for an aerial mark and he ran into Mayne's knee.
