Ironically JMartin’s shocker brings him back onto the table for me, probably couldn’t have afforded him if he had scored well.

Looking to keep it simple (rather than target a Jezza or Joey D) and go:
BSmith > JMartin
NN > Gawn
Parker > Cogs

I think $$ should work for the above. Only have 6k in bank. Hopefully all 3 trades are genuine improvements to my side.

Will be hard to pick which one of Simpkin and B Smith to move on. I don't really like Simpkins role, doesnt look like he's in the centre bounces much (could be wrong but doesn't look like it to me) but B Smith has more competition with Dunkley back (although can still pump out a 150 as proven a few weeks back)...

Will probably ultimately depend on who I can afford with Simpkin vs Smith as an upgrade

First trade will most likely be a reluctant Bont to Gawn, unless Draper scores 120.

Then one of two options:

1. Macrae and Wingard to Petracca and Lyons. 38k for final upgrade (M8) using Draper + Close and my last two trades in round 18.

2. Duncan and Wingard to Lyons and Cogs. No cash left, but should be able to get a serviceable F6 come round 17.

Looks like a bit of a nightmare round coming up. Lots of teams are going to struggle with the byes and then Ryan, Ridley and Kelly could all miss as well.

but if that is the case, then Jelly simply isn't allowed to play. ANyone confirm that rule?

Yeah I think that’s a fair assumption that Jelly can’t play due to the rule.

JJK already ruled out.

Looked to me today like Simpkin is mentally “already on the beach” as the saying goes: wandering up and down the ground 15 metres off the contest, sticking an arm out in so-called “tackle attempts”, totally out CP’d by Greenwood who (I think) was his match-up...

I think their output will be similar, but Smith has more chance of getting a spike score in the final few rounds than Simpkin does.

I'm trying to work out if that additional $50k can be put to good use. If it can I will probably move him on

Who averages more from here jpk or t Kelly?
Atm I have 3.9k in the bank
Bont at 670 to gawn at 673.9k I think is a sign from the supercoach gods so no brainer there
Close to riccardi is my second locked trade

Sholl > Butts/BJ Williams (as D8 and potential 19-21 for this bye round)
Close > C Lyons as a 102.4k mid loophole
Schoenberg > M.Crouch which complete my side with 4 trades remaining
