D.O.B. & Age: 1st of August 1981 (Age 31)
SC Position: Ruck
Round 19 Score: 190
Stats: 24 Disposals, 3 goals (14 Kicks, 10 H’balls)

In a close fought win for the West Coast Eagles on Friday night Dean Cox produced another mammoth Supercoach score for his 93,969 owners. Cox was at his damaging best early with 3 goals in the first quarter to help set up the win where he monstered Geelong ruckman Orren ‘Big O’ Stephenson with 45 hitouts. Playing ruck/forward in tandem with Nic Naitanui the Eagles have arguably the two be Supercoach ruckmen in the game at their disposal. Cox continued his stunning season form with his 11th score over 100, his 7th over 130 which includes his career best of 215 against North Melbourne.

Having played a more in the forward line this year, although he is ageing, Cox looms as a potential dual position player next season and should still be on Supercoach’s watch list for next season.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS.
West Coast Eye Boomers Star.
UPDATE:
The West Coast Eagles are in talks with Australian Olympic basketballer Mark Worthington. It is believed that Worthington will undergo fitness testing leading into this years draft camp and the Eagles are keen to draft him as a rookie. This would be a major coup for West Coast and it would also be a win for the AFL to have another code hopper in the came following Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau.
Furhther Information: Eagles Look to Boomers Star

Fyfe Named, No Sandilands.
UPDATE:
After Fremantle came out today and said it would name Aaron Sandilands for this weekends match against Richmond they have done a U0turn in just over 6 hours and not named him. Sandilands recovered quicker than expected from his toe-injury but the Docker won't risk their big man this week. After tripping over his suitcase last week rolling his ankle, Nathan Fyfe has has recovered in time for the clubs crucial clash this weekend.

Riewoldt Confirmed Out.

Big O to Miss Atleast 1.
Orren 'Big O' Stephenson is expected to miss atleast one match with a broken hand which he suffered in Geelong's loss to the West Coast Eagles. Medical expert Dr. Peter Larkins said "It is possible to play only a week after with a plate and a glove as he has cracked his hand not wrist." This comes as a big blow to the Cats who are struggling to fill their ruck position and also SuperCoachers that are running thin on ruckmen and trades.

Roo thinks Tippet will Leave.
Adelaide Crows legend and former Brownlow Meadlist Mark Ricciuto believes that if Kurt Tippet hasn't signed a contract extension by now he is destined to leave. Tippet who has a healthy offer on the table from the Crows hasn't resigned yet and the power forward iis a major target of the Brisbane Lions. Being a Queensland local and with salary cap room the Lions are in a perfect position to snare Tippet from the Crows who recently joined in the hunt for Travis Cloke.
Further Information: Tippet Tipped to Leave

Rioli to Miss 2 or 3 Matches.
Hawthorn wizard Cyril Rioli is expected to miss only 2-3 matches after scans revealed only bruising to his shoulder. Hawthorn football operations manager Mark Evans said that a better timeline on the injury will be known once the bruising goes down and he is able to resume training.
Further Information: Rioli to Miss 2 or 3

Buddy Expected to be Back.
After the shoulder scare to Cyril Rioli and the withdrawl of Jarryd Roughead Hawthorn fans have something to be happy about injury wise this week as star centre-half forward Lance Franklin is expected to line-up against th Gold Coast Suns this weekend. Franklin who has not played since round 15 has had a long layoff with a hamstring injury but is 100% afte rthe Hawks were extremely catiuos.

Battle of the Whitfield Cup.
Although the Gold Coast Suns won their second game of the season today against the Greatew Western Sydney Giants they will now most likely miss out on potential number 1 draft pick Lachie Whitfield. Whitfield who is regarded as the best to come through the TAC Cup since Chris Judd in the early 2000's in a hard running midfielder that finds plenty of his own ball. The Giants are now favourites to take the wooden spoon and the prized number 1 draft selection where it is expected they will take Whitfield.

Thanks for the ongoing updates guys...

Doesn't affect me at all, but a few teams will be glad with the possibility/likelihood? of Tippett returning. Franklin's likely return probably balances out given so many teams have him in their team, but will still be good to have the big man back on the field...
