4/493. All players have scored 40+ this round except for Seymour, who I didn't expect a lot from (running with no bowling bench players this round to let me keep Bartlett - any score was a bonus). Brought Pierson on field to get Gilkes' 66, luckily I could loop this in unlike some others.

Wade, Philippe, Curran and the 2nd game for my 4 Strikers to come.

Can't deny the logic there, buy him at the start of the season and do that until it stops working. Then do that the next season, and the one after.
BBL is a fickle game.
You talk about Sams , Maxy is in the same boat.
Like all fantasy games back your premos in .
9 times out of 10 , soon as you trade them out , bang, they will bite you right were it hurts.

Going to be tough to pick up Maxi and Zampa with over 100 break evens next week.

Hales is certainly going to be one I’m eyeing off, with the focus on dgw players I can see a lot missing him at what is soon going to be a very juicy price.
Personally as long as I can afford them I wont hesitate to bring 3 Stars guns in, especially when I've got Inglis and Agar primed for the following round already.

One trade left and I have some decisions to make …

I looped both Clarke (33) and Dre Russ (18) so Clarke wins … or does he?

Do I back Philippe in to beat 33? Is Kerr going to play? Is Paris going to play? Will either of them beat 33? Do I grab a Scorcher under $126k and take the 33? (I kind of want to bet against Agar due to his ownership, or am I being silly? Do I give myself more fat and take a scorcher under $150k but risk Russell’s 18 on field if Paris or Kerr don’t play?

How good a score this is depends on how popular Sams is, I suppose. On balance I'm not unhappy, to jag a wicket and some ER with Couch is very handy, but equally the Stars in general are a total conundrum! Wouldn't put it past all of the guns to go 120+ next round though and burn the doubters.

I’ve dumped cash on 3 Heat, and look like dumping again on Clarke and trade in Dre. Might limit myself to 1 more and go after the Scorchers, namely Tye and 1 of Marsh or Inglis, given they don’t have the bye following the double. Hard to justify dumping cash on a 6th player and then extending it to a 7th and 8th

I've got my popcorn ready, and I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how this plays out.
It's like a soap-opera, or a very slow moving car crash, you just can't look away!!!

Chose Dre Russ out of the Stars this round and although he posted a poor score first up, he has a great role bowling at the death and being brought up the order when required for some quick runs. Should post a solid score for the double. Still targeting Zampa and Maxy next round too despite their poor start and high BE’s.

A bit of a gift for us Sams non-owners tonight but will still be making him a priority trade-in.

If I bring Maxy in he then becomes a season long keeper (so price changes are irrelevant) , can bench him Round 4 , based on 2 games data he is not the Maxy of old though , so when does he return to form ?

If I bring NCN does he play both games (Sun & Wed) , would be a in and out trade.

Stoinis in this round , not bowling so out Round 4.

Zampa started , so season long keeper , bench Round 4 , needs to start producing premium scores again.

DreRuss obviously has to be traded when he leaves so just hope he doesn't lose money.

And then of course their is Faridoun.

Might all depend on $$$ available at the end of the round , Wildermuth - > Bison is locked.

Depends on how much W Agar rises that determines if I get 2 Stars or 1 Star & Inglis (if Gilkes scores well enough I may not need the Inglis option in any case)

i went with 3 strikers this week, but i had no idea that people were getting stars players ahead of this round given that none of them has proven themselves yet. Though going strikers this week was the conventional route. 404 with 6 strikers played. No points from me tonight.
