I have never seen Thompson play , is he more a batsmen (Top 6) who bowls or a bowler who bats ?
Given the lengths they went to get Paris you think he plays.
Boland , Ellis , Lamichhanne , Meredith , Paris when all available.
Doubt David , McDermott , Short , Wade are getting dropped.
If you are not playing OS players then serious questions should be asked about your cricket department , so Brook & Thompson make the XI.
Handscomb could very well be the one that eventually misses out.
Thompson seems a odd signing to me given who they already had on their list.
Seems a neither here nor their type of player.
EDIT: Big Bash Board tells me he has batted 6 or higher 9 times out of 32
