Phillipe to Maxwell could net me 70k after this week. With my 20k in the bank, that’s enough to turn a spud like Hughes into Lynn ready for his DGR
What's the purpose of upgrading Hughes ?

Unless you already have 11 onfield premiums , only 2 more bye rounds after this round , so wouldn't it be better to leave Hughes at Bat 7 for the season and invest the $$$ elsewhere ?

Lynn will be interesting in himself , if he hovers around that $ 125k mark , will make him difficult to upgrade in Round 7.

Zampa to Tye would be preferable as I have a similar call to make but I dont really see the logic of holding Paris the more I think about it, just pushing one more problem into a further gameweek, trading him now and moving forward is likely what I'm doing the issue is I honestly don't like any of the Scorchers options I can afford in that scenario.
Yes, it’s an interesting X vs Y I think.

@connoisseur’s point about price not changing gives some flexibility, which helps.

I agree that looking at who you would want to keep long term is often helpful. In this case the challenge is that that probably is Tye over Dorf/Munro, but also that it would be Zampa over Paris!

Zampa hasn’t scored well, but is at a nice price. He’s the only one of those names that I had on my target premium list at the beginning of the season.

Just pointing out that Phillipe/Hughes can be turned into Maxwell/Lynn which feels a much better combo
2 of the next 3 are SGR weeks, rather have Lynn at bat 5 than Duckett who is currently there

Hales playing the Heat at the Gabba. Anyone else have a feeling this is the round he goes nuts and brings his price up? Too risky to go a round early for mine, but I will probably pick him as one of my round 5 single gamers
Time for the Halestorm.

Likely the most value trade in option for Round 5 so go early and get ahead of the pack.

Fair enough

Your onfield setup must be a lot stronger than mine.

I guess it comes down to who then replaces Hughes at Bat 7 and how much cash you want to leave their for how long.

I own Hughes myself and just waiting for a miracle , otherwise he just stays Bat 7 for the season.

8 of my on field guys average 50+, Inglis 42. Then Stoinis and Duckett at bat 4 and 5. I want to get that 5 into a stronger guy, but trading Duckett doesn’t feel like the right play yet with a DGR coming up. So going Hughes to Lynn feels like it sites up that bat 5 and moved Duckett to bat 6, Finch at bat 7

Sounds like a plan.

Does Duckett stay for the season then though on the bench ?

I gather Round 7 - > you will want to move Heat players on

Wouldn't surprise me if Duckett opens and they start playing 4-Peirson-6 (unless they move Heazlett again or Peirson opens himself)

Jesus , he could be well and truly out of reach by Round 7

Yeah Duckett probably just rides the bench from here on out other than his DGR
probably only going to go 3 Heat DGR players. Duckett, Lynn and Mujeeb. And probably 4 Hurricanes

Technically Hughes is my Batter 6 , until this Finch bloke ever decides to make a return.

7 onfield players averaging 50+ but that includes 3 I traded in for this round

Geez I have some work to do
DreRuss , Gilkes , Inglis & RK19 😢 all underperforming at the moment.

They are all officially on notice or they will be traded.

Think I have settled on at least 4 Heat/Hurricanes (need to look more at Lynn's $) waiting on Meredith & the Test Squad announcement for my others.

Ideally need 3 Heat for DGR 6 then trade them out in Round 7 ($ will be the issue) , try and hold at least 2 Hurricanes for their bye then load up again for their second DGR

Philippe won't see many more rounds for me, plenty will hold him through but to me reinvesting a batsman nearing 300k in price feels pretty obvious, one bad score and hes freefalling in value had his fair share of luck along the way already.
While I agree with the reinvesting sentiment, 1 bad score will still see his price rise as he has a -ve BE.

I don’t think he’s looking at selling this week, I don’t think anyone would be, with all the carnage he’s a fit playing player.

Think those looking to sell will pull the trigger round 5 or 6.

Hopefully DreRuss & Gilkes gets me Hales & Lynn price type Round 5.

Then will need to weigh up getting Maxwell Round 5 (or waiting until Round 7 or 8 , can't fade him again) v a Hurricane Bowler for their DGR 6

Can use a Scorcher (depending on BE) Round 5 instead of Round 6.

Be nice if CA announce the Test Squad today or tomorrow.
