Good point , just stick to getting him Round 7 or 8 and work out which Heat/Hurricanes I want

No idea to be honest , depends if you are backing the DGR nuffies to beat the SGR premiums and then what your exit plan is for the Heat (imagine most will try and carry their Hurricanes even on their Bye Round.

If I grab Hales Round 5 , I will probably have 6 DGR but if I can't find 2 bowlers I like could go 4 or 5.

Lot will depend if Neser , Steketee & Swepson are available for any/all of their DGR games.

If those 3 are available (+ Wildermuth) a lot changes for the Heat.

I was scared off when he didn’t give an exact date to come back. Got a feeling he might be back for post Xmas which would give him roughly 6-7 weeks off since the World Cup. That knee will have got a good resting then.

Certainly made a error starting him that's for sure , just need him back ASAP now (or relying on Hughes)

Given what has happened , would have been nice to have a bench player to upgrade/sideways in Round 5 & 6 but that can't happen now.

I'll probably stick with Maxwell all the way through unless his price and BE get unbelievably high.
Estimated scores for Maxwell in the IPL 2021 (inc. finals)
49, 84, 101, 20 (dnb), 37, 30, 0, 10, 34 (2 overs, 1wkt), 149(4 overs, 2wkts), 75, 82, 75, 74, 19 = 801/15 = 53.4av.

Things worth noting:
He batted at #4 every match - except for his 20 when he wasn't needed.
He rarely bowled - in 15 matches he only bowled 16 overs over 6 innings for 3 wickets

As Captain, Maxwell can choose where he bats and how many over he bowls. I think this increases his scoring capacity.
I also think that the 53.4 he averaged in the IPL is a bare minimum of what to expect.

His most recent BBL averages - 62.6, 64.6, 60.8, 67.3 - put him up there with Sams, Khan etc, maybe behind Stoinis, definitely ahead of Lynn
