Interesting that Fox had the lineup with Avendano opening and Wakim in the middle order. I don't think I'll be playing games with that lineup, could easily see Cartwright top 3 for all we know.
Don't want Rauf straight off a plane so for me picking a bowler comes down to Couch vs Qais. Couch has been very consistent and should get plum overs in a depleted bowling lineup (and they're bowling first!) so he's in.
Holding one trade back as I've been keen to do every round, just to be as flexible as possible, to use the buzz word of the times.
Very dangerous mindset, as all owners should have been fully aware of the risk and the higher probability of disappointment when forking out that amount of cash for a player in any fantasy format.
As you know, last year I was solely picking PODs, my season was over at that point anyway. I was hoping he would deliver something decent as a minimum after paying that much for a player, but single figures was less than I expected. He was very disappointing to own (among others).
I still feel he is overpriced this season, but at least he should have more opportunities now than he had last season. I'll admit that comment might have been a bit harsh, just pointing out that although he was good in his first season (see video), he sure wasn't last year. Buyer beware is all I'll say, and hopefully he works out better for anyone who does pick him this time than he did last year.
So I then had the opportunity to C Dan Christian which helped me launch into the top 10. So if you have the option to VC a player and see their scores after 2 games, why not do it?
Won't hurt you if you don't do it. But if you want to straight C Maxwell then you can do that too.
