Looking ahead to next round’s trades, outside of Short, which canes players are you guys targeting?
- Short (92 ave/110 3-game ave)
- Faulkner $164k (61/77)
- Wade $150k (51/76)
- Archer $131k (50/35)
- Bailey $109k (49/69)
- Meredith $124k (49/69)
- Botha $117 (47/70)
- Rose $102k (38/61)

They’ll be playing the stars (MCG) and scorchers (Optus) for their DGW.

I’ve already got Short and Meredith so leaning Wade then either Archer or Faulkner and skipping the last extra DGW’er. I’m just not sure who outside of that lot is a must

Yeah nah. I don’t know a lot about these guys and their roles in the team except for Faulkner, who I think is called the finisher haha

Wade I recall hearing is in good nick and while Archer has been bowling horribly by all reports, was high on the list for most earlier this season.

I have Faulkner and McDermott. Will get Short, Wade and Archer.

No idea why Hobart don't ever use Archer as a pinch hitter as he can smash a ball but never bats. Completely wasted resource currently. I'd bat him at 3 if they lost a wicket in the first 6 overs. If he's out cheaply it has little negative bearing on the team. If he makes even say 20 off 10 it would increase their score when batting first with bowlers under added pressure early in the game.

The perfect example is their loss to the Renegades the other day. They would have been better off trying to switch the momentum early rather than consolidate for a long period and still make a below par score despite only losing 5 wickets.

I'll probably grab one or two more, but will keep an eye on the future, too.
